  1. Stoked, Stoked, Stoked, Stoked. Have I mentioned that I was stoked? Adams and Granato keeping their poker face the last few days is criminal. Stoked.

  2. 2 #1 picks, let alone defensemen, under $20M AAV is insane.

People forget the cap will go up by like $5M in the coming years, as well as the massive discount we got on Tage and Cozens. What a great job by GMKA turning the ship around

  3. They continue to nail it. Honestly the first thing I think to now out of interest is, what does Mittelstadt's deal look like say if he gets 55 points this year. Will be 26 on starting next season. 4-5 years, 5-6 million? Gotta start being very very careful with players JUST outside of the core.

  4. Stoked, Dahlin, Powers, Cozens, Thompson, Benson, Tuch, Skinner………. you name it… Sabres finally makes it happen

  5. I think it makes sense to sign mitts to a 2-3 year deal. This way you give yourself options once its time to pay big dollars to any of these young prospects that might become an elite player

  6. Bad mouthing Samuelson again???? Sabres went 33-18-4 in games he played. 70 pts in 55 games. projects out to 104 pts. in 82 games. No other player on team was better.

  7. Adams went from running Harbor Center to being arguably the best GM in the NHL in a relatively short period of time.

  8. I was about ready to say he made a mistake then I saw the numbers. Maybe he could get more by playing out the year, or maybe he could get a bad enough knee injury to make the team nervous about his future. Now that's put to bed and he has retire-in-luxury money at age 20. Can spend almost all his 20s only worrying about hockey.

  9. Mittlestadt and Krebs are next up, but depending on how their season goes, Levi and Benson could be in the Contract Extension conversation next summer as well.

  10. Dang, assuming a Cap Number of 87.5M, you've got 22.1% of your payroll tied up in 28.6% of your blue line….
