Let’s talk about the inaugural Seattle Kraken game in their history, taking place against the Vegas Golden Knights in Nevada.

The game was won by the Knights 4-3, after the Kraken tied it up despite being down 3-0 earlier in the game.

However, Chandler Stephenson’s game-winning-goal was quite the interesting one, as he deflects it off his skate after angling it while receiving a Mark Stone pass.

This video is taking place after the 2021 NHL Entry Draft.

  1. Can you please do a vid on Cole Perfetti’s NHL Debut. He is my favorite player (hence the 91 in HockeyLegend 91)

  2. Don't think It was a kick and I hate Vegas the kick motion was after it bounced of his skate it's a reaction from a puck hitting you nhl passes are fast

  3. It's not a kick the definition of a kicking goal is that you have to raise your skate off the ice and kick the puck like a soccer player

  4. Sure it wasn’t a windup of a kick but it was a quite obvious “push in the right direction” from the Vegas player

  5. knights continue to get help from the refs. It's just a continuation from last year playoffs.
Hated seeing Grubauer leave the Avs.

  6. Honestly Lego I stopped watching when they counted that goal that was clearly a kicking motion comon refs it's like you are not even trying to hide your favourtism towards Vegas

  7. He turned his skate and it was his forward momentum that pushed the puck. He didn't kick it. I could see how it could be seen either way though. If they had overturned it I wouldn't have been surprised. Great game with a surprising comeback.

  8. It want a kicking motion at all, and for someone who isint a Seattle fan you sound ULTRA salty. The game should’ve been like 8-3 Vegas but the post made more saves then grubauer did. He turned his skate to angle the puck and that isint against the rules and it takes a lot more skill then you think it would.

  9. so excited, id love them if they were a dumpster fire. one of the few pnw boys that grew up playing hockey. can't wait to watch them live.

  10. The rule should be based on intent he knew what he was doing prolly even knew the rule loophole ☝️Suck my finger Vegas and Vegas fans I hate your guts sincerely yours a flames fan who’ve watched his team for 20 years reach 20 yrs then we can talk lol

  11. I dont believe in the Vegas Golden refs things. Not giving judgement on this incident but everyone thinks that the refs are biased against their team because a call didnt go their way. Vegas had suffered many bad calls in its short existence and arguably got a playoff series taken away from them because of one bad call. Honestly seems like that fans are just salty when their team gets a call against them…

  12. Let's be honest everyone know that Vegas is a poor market for a team. So to make it prove other wise the refs, staff, management, betmen and so on does all they can to make the knights good.

  13. Yeah, the game-winning goal was a kick-in and a bad call by Vegas officials. (another example of poor reffing) What I liked about it though, is that Seattle didn't get super mad and outraged at it. They just went out their and played the game their hardest to tie it up again. I really loved how they played last night, as it seemed that they were on a level of synergy and confidence that is hard to match. Can't wait to see them play at home. I'm turning into a Kraken fan more and more each day!

Edit: I just watched the video and saw the gameplay. wth. Is there really a guy named Peter Parker playing for the Hitmen.

  14. The problem is that the way the rule is currently written, that technically is a good goal. It even states in the text of the rule that a goal off a skate will be good as long as the blade stays on the ice, and doesn't constitute a "distinct kicking motion". Kind of a stupid way to write it and should probably be changed, but as of now, it is what it is.

  15. is everyone really saying it's actually a kick, every analyst said it was directed, man people just look for a reason to hate Vegas

  16. I was shocked when the commentator is actually said they thought it was a good goal! Literally watching it you could tell he kicked it in I mean it was obvious to me watching it on TV you would think the officials would have said the same thing but you know that's how Vegas rolls! It was awesome seeing the Kraken come all the way back, this coming from a blues fan! I think despite what people were saying wasn't a very good draft, I think Seattle will do pretty well for an expansion season. It helps that they're in the Pacific division where competition just isn't what it is in the Central and the Metro!

  17. That was definitely a kick. He didn’t just turn his blade he kicked that ish

  18. As a neutral party, technically it was not a kicking motion so it was a good goal. However im pretty sure ive seen an intentional redirect being called a no goal before.
Bottom line, the rule needs to be revised so its clear whether that its a goal or not.

  19. Possible kicking motion Goal aside, Grubauer did not have his best game. He let in some weak goals.

  20. He didn’t kick the puck towards the goal, the puck bounced off the side of his skate which he angled towards the goal

  21. Bruh this is so dumb in soccer would you call a kick angling your foot so the ball bounces of your foot into the net??? No. You would call it a redirect.

  22. I don't see this as a kicking motion at all. Sounds like alot of whining. In fact I had to hit the mute because couldn't listen to you whining anymore.

  23. They should change the rule tbh. Make it to where you can’t intentionally use your feet to score in any way, but if it hits your skate accidentally, fine
