I am a Leaf fan and really appreciate the comeback when the Habs looked like they would win. I think that there is a mind game whenever these two teams meet. The Leafs always seem to be playing below their talent and the Habs above their talent pool.
I completely read that as the Habs choked out the Leafs which makes a lot more sense. A rebuilding team is suppose to choke, hence the rebuilding. Leafs have an established contender and let Montreal stay in this game way too long. Lucky to get the extra point.

I'm still a little disappointed that the Canadiens had a 2 goal lead late in the 3rd period and blew it. Auston Matthews took over. Mitch Marner won the game for the Leafs as he roofed the puck top shelf in the shootout.

The fact that the leafs keep doing shit like this and barely squeaking away with victories (when they're not chocking them selves), says more about the Leafs than it says about the Habs.
