This was honestly not fun to watch…

Taking a closer look at what was ultimately a fairly boring affair as the Buffalo Sabres got dummied 5-1 by the New York Rangers. We’ll talk that and more in tonight’s NHL hockey video!

  1. As a rags fan I had a ton of fun. I was laughing my ass off at how many shots the rangers got in front of lol

  2. I thought the game was awesome. I was 9 rows from the ice. The Rangers played remarkable defense.

  3. Lafreniere didn't play all that bad. The team as a whole played very good. Tonight was a good night. There were still mistakes made. But none terrible and they recovered well. Hope they can keep it going, but it is an 82 game season with a lot of teams to play. I was surprised at Buffalo's play. Thought they would be more dynamic and faster.

  4. You know what was actually painful to watch? Werenski going off after a knee to knee hit. Dude and the team cant catch a break. Cmon man

  5. levi looks sketchy but ofc time will tell… hopefully that doesnt ruin playoffs chance… need to see the sabres in

  6. If the playoffs started tomorrow I would like the Rangers' chances, haha. Great game, keep the Rangers content coming man!

  7. Can't wait to watch blowout games like this all season, the Canucks played at a high caliber

  8. Defense wins. Flashy offense is fun in the regular season but the Devils got shut down by the defensive clinic of Carolina

  9. Neutral zone trap makes for boring games. Its the reason the devils and lightning of the 2000s were so fucking boring to watch even though they won a lot.

Honestly I do worry that level of shot blocking may not be sustainable over 82 games and hoping for sucess in thr playoffs as well. I know "every game counts" but seems like a recipe for a lot of injuries.

  10. What noticed is that the Sabres did the same mistakes the Devils did during the playoffs. Leaving Kreisler alone in front for the goalie.

  11. Watched this live, amazing game to watch live. Entertaining af, still felt bad for the sabers, rough game for them. Especially the shot handed goal, a lot of people left after that happened in the third.

  12. I Love UPL and think he can be a elite starter in the league, however the sabers need a superstar in goal and you have to hope that Levi is just that

  13. Well we all know how the Ramgers go, no matter who's on the team. They can play like the best team in the league one game and then the next, the worst team in the league.

  14. this has been buffalo problem for years… they want to market this "young and exciting" playstyle, which im certainly in favor for.. but when they go up against a defensive structure, they dont seem to be able to attack, or play with weight.
you breakdown stationary neutral zone traps with speed and quickness, and if you do no like what you, you play the puck possession game, and restart. if you force passes into the locked system, you are doing exactly what the other team wants you to do.
buy hey listen guys, may the hockey gods punish those to play a ice hockey that leeches the fun out of the product. im still a believer in this buffalo group, the only think i would want is another offensive big piece in their top 6, you need offensive depth to break down other teams, especially defensive teams.

  15. They played on top all night that’s what I expect from them all season but I’m hoping against a team like the Devils

  16. Locking up their stars, who then lay a turd like that on opening night. On to the rangers, they played hard, but i dont see that as sustainable for 82 games. Blocking shots like that is bound to create injuries
