Bedard may have had three points but he really didn't look very special last night. The assists were more incidental than dazzling and an empty-netter goal is hardly anything to write home about. Frankly, if you had never heard of him or knew he was the No. 1 overall draft pick and were seeing him for the first time, you would have not been overly impressed. He will, of course, improve rapidly but it will take time, as it does for all NHL rookies.
Yes they got Bedard. Hall might be good. But the Hawks will be terrible this year. Anyone hoping for much improvement is going to be disappointed
He is a very good play maker. He open up space for other players get a chance to score and he will pass you puck.
