[Masters] Ryan Reaves on Arber Xhekaj: “I don’t like getting jumped. I don’t know if I’ve really jumped anybody. If you want to fight just ask me. I’m always around. You know where to find me.”

Reaves on Xhekaj pushing him into net:

“Once I stood up & he ended up grabbing me, he just tried pushing me for the rest of it. It felt like it was on purpose. We got them two more times, I’m sure something might happen. Don’t want to go out like that.”

  1. The amount of people on r/hockey butthurt about this comment is actually hilarious.

Pushing someone into the net = takedown. At least according to Hab fans.

I think Reaves should have watched the tape before making comments….or said nothing. It comes across as whiney way more than tough. And I really don’t see this as trolling either. Also….he has definitely jumped people in the past. This is not a good look overall.

For those who might have not realized, Minnesota has Pat Maroon on their team this year so tomorrow is going to be another fun night where Reaves might absolutely man handle someone who deserves it

Imagine calling a player who’s synonymous with fighting in this Era soft. Last season he was heralded as the toughest fighter in the league despite his age and now he’s a washed up player who’s soft as baby shit just cuz he’s a Leaf.

Reaves is still one of if not the best fighter in the league. Wifi is too, but what he did was soft, fight Reaves like a man and take him down the classic way, with wild haymakers and mutual bombs till one side slips, not do the Pat Maroon gorilla man wrestle fuck a player onto the ground

I’m going to choose to believe he’s playing the heel instead of demonstrating a lack of self-awareness haha.

It probably is annoying to be in a fight where you just get pushed backward until you trip over the net because the fight was started somewhere with no space though.
