    Everyone kept praising management but not me I knew this would be a problem.
    We did not need Pearson or Lindstrum to start and I said long ago we should ahve got rid of the dead weight guys that will NOT make an impact on any cup run.Dvorak Gallagher Savard Wideman Jake Evans is not good enough to be in the NHL Barron is not good enough there are a few others that are just taking up space.
    As to Slavkovsky one game does not make a player which is funny because when he played 30+ terrible games it was only excuses his AGE but now his age is a bonus ..lmao.
    This early hustle is expected from young players in a new season let's see if they are still hustling and pushing the net 10…15 20 games later.
    There is something more to look at IF fanbois think these guys are playing great and still losing does that mean this team is just going to keep losing especially when playing worse?

    Too many people only look at one thing>>did you see that goal that assist but never looking at the poor defensive play from the forwards and the overall poor decisions within our own end.
    As for Arber well yeah most people realize he needs to be a Hab for life the first time I saw him I said he is our new Knuckles Nilan a TEAM player.

    Reeves need to accept . not start blaming number 72. Even George Laracque said that Arber did well in controlling Reeves. fighting on ice involves different tactics depending of the moment and coming from Laraque George that holds a lot of credibility no?

    Let's not forget about Josh Anderson, he can be a bit of a loose cannon when he needs to be. I think the days of the full time enforcer are done except for a few remaining T Rex types. Lets not forget the mental tole that full time enforcers has taken on many players.

    George Laraque confirmed on the Sick Podcast with Tony Marinaro that he gave Arber Xhekaj and Michael Pezzetta tips on the art of fighting at the Canadien training camp; and in this interview, he gave a brilliant analysis of the Xhekaj vs Reaves confrontation. Laraque had this to say: "It wasn't a fight, but Arber made Reaves look bad in front of his fans in an opening match, and if I'd been in Reaves' shoes, I'd have asked Xhekaj for another fight as soon as possible. Like at the first opportunity in the second period. The opportunity did present itself, and Reaves did nothing, yet Arber was ready to fight. Xhekaj has just established himself as a top in the league. And believe me, the video of this confrontation will go around the league and players will think twice before making a stupid move and having to face Arber in a fight." end of quote There was more in that inwterview, but basically Reaves chicken out

    Am I the only one who sees a parallel between reeves/leafs and parros/laraque/habs?
    The classic "we need to be tough " then gets the classic enforcer that is essentially useless then probably retires.

    Like superstars, you don't buy them, you draft them.

    They need to care to be effective

    Another thing I've noticed about Xhekaj. He never embarrasses the refs. That's something that, down the road, will pay dividends for when he does have something to say, he will be taken seriously. Refs do not like to be embarrassed.

    HuGo …need to pick up a bum like Reeves to actually protect the young guys including keeping Arber's tilts down ..

    Reeves is getting a little old. Nothing looks worse than an old guy trying to keep his fighting glory days alive. Reeves was a bad signing for Toronto. I predict Reeves and Xhekaj don't fight next game. Pezzetta wants a piece of Reeves and he'll be taking up Reeves time in the next one.
