  1. Love that they didn't let up after getting scored on, and when they started to get into a bit of penalty trouble; they just stayed the course. That's the Hallmark of a good team.
Also, the shot blocking and positioning reminded me of the Callahan teams of recent years.
Overall, a really great team win. Despite the fact there's a new coach, system and some new players.

    LFGR

  2. Chris Kreider is best all time tipper since the stat was tracked in 09-10, giving Pavelski 3 extra years to still only be 2nd to Chris “Just The Tip” Kreider

  3. What a difference a real coach makes, Kreider on fire 🔥!
Mika excellent, Panarin, Laffy and Trouba a blocking machine.
    Igor stellar!
    What’s not to like 🤓

  4. This wasn’t in Spotify. And this is the first time in all these years I’ve seen the faces connected to the voice lol

  5. This is exactly why I don’t pay attention to the preseason. Laf is struggling? Scores a goal and looks better than ever. Power play went 1 out of 21? They score on the power play.

  6. An impressive game.

One game, however, is not enough to change my mind about Lafreniere. But I'll definitely be keeping track of his progress, especially as it compares to Tye Kartye and Wyatt Johnston.

  7. I've been disappointed and critical of Laff.

But I have to be fair:

Laffy had an outstanding game, in all zones, and in every aspect of his game.

    His was goal was important.

    But how he backchecked…
    ….stole pucks
    …intercepted passes
    …disrupted Sabres breakouts
…worked defensively in Rangers zone, and transitioned the puck: all of the above; speaks volumes about his full game.

    Go Laff Go!!!

  8. Important to note:

Schneider had a very solid game.

Love how #4 is developing and maturing.

  9. I obviously don't watch the entire league, but is Kreider the greatest shot deflector in the league? It amazes me how easy he makes it look no matter how hard the shot. GOD Bless all my fellow Rangers fans and Let's Go Rangers!

  10. Really well executed first game for us. Still plenty of room for improvement to chase but a nice start.

  11. I was never worried about Lafreniere. The Rangers never put him in a situation to succeed before. The guy who does not impress me is Kakko.

  12. Only one game, but i am happy with how we looked and the preseason is behind us now . Great commentary as always and maybe coach Laviolette is as bad as i thought
