1 game in the playoffs? Woll played 4 bourne looked as a good as anyone they didn’t lose because of him it was a poor offence.
If your D is like Vegas , you don’t need the best goalie , the rest of us do unfortunately because our D is nothing like Vegas 😂😂
What ever happened to the stand up goalie? Samsonov takes every opportunity to play the game on his knees. I guess if the coaches are ok with it then who I am I to question it. Three goals on opening game he could have got if he was on his feet.

Last year, Samsonov was one of the best bounce-back goalies in the league after a bad loss or performance. Give him Saturday and if he is not able to bounce back Saturday, then you play Woll and see what he's got to give.
To me samsonov is only responsible for two goal's. This is just a dumb storyline

Hill, Gruebaur, Tim Thomas, Osgood, Kemper…Binnington…Fuhr, Crawford. The Vasilevskis, Roys and Broduers are the more rare cases and were fronted by the best D in the league
Just make it to the playoffs, then everyone get hot! That's all you need. Be hot during the playoffs, don't take the reg season so serious, just get there which this team can do at half speed, then turn it on it and leave it all out there for the playoffs.
Samsonov is a great goalie but he's nowhere an elite goalie in the sense of a goalie you want as your starter for a team who has for ambition to win the Stanley Cup 🙂.
He wasn't the answer last season for the Leafs, so there is no reason to believe he suddenly became for this season. As well we know he hasn't played more than 40 games in a regular season so far, so let's just try Woll before to think about to correct this position with a trade.

The Leaf's defense in front of Samsonov was terrible against Montreal.
That game should have been a wake up call for the Leaf's to smarten up defensively but I have my doubts.

You can win a cup with ‘average’ (by NHL standards) goaltending provided you have an elite D core. The Leafs don’t have this. They either need to beef up their blue line or get an elite goaltender if they want to sniff a cup anytime soon.
