Panthers Head Coach Paul Maurice speaks to the media after morning skate before the team takes a quick flight to Orlando for their preseason tilt against the Tampa Bay Lightning. He discuss how many games Sergei Bobrovsky will play in the remaining preseason games, and when Barkov will return to the lineup. Maurice discusses how great of an opportunity it is to play against state rival Tampa Bay as tuning up for the season, and how valuable Evan Rodrigues can be on the power play. He also breaks down his philosophy on how he’s put together his power play unit and how comfortable Mackie Samoskevich can be playing on Power Play 2 and on the second line with Matthew Tkachuk and Sam Bennett. Maurice was asked where Matt Kiersted is in the mix as far as making the 23-man roster. He also provides an update on the health of Brandon Montour and Aaron Ekblad, and the short term injury update of Barkov, Denisenko, True and Ludvig, and Ritchie(PTO).
