  1. If the team hadn’t traded for Toffoli, perhaps the team brings Kane in. With the amount of offensive firepower this team already has, I don’t see how Kane would really help this team. If the Devils were to bring someone in, it would have to be someone who is strong defensively or can help possession wise. There’s only one puck. Adding more offensive weapons likely wouldn’t help this team all that much.

  2. Na not particularly interested in getting Kane, he's over the hill and I don't think he would have the speed to play with the Devils. I mean maybe if it's November/December and Holtz has been struggling and can't cut it then signing Kane to a cheap deal to play 3rd line wouldn't be the worst idea. Idk Kane just seems a little redundant and like he doesn't make them a better team even if there's more flash.

  3. Cool idea but hard pass.
We learned from the rangers mistake last year. Besides our team is good enough where I don’t even think he would make the team better. Roster management is very important and too many options is definitely a thing.

  4. I would wait and see what happens with Mercer( RW on the Hischier line) At the moment that line is pretty bad. It looks like Ruff hates Holtz so there is an opening on the RW and he could slot Mercer on the 3rd line and Kane on Nico's right. That said, Mercer is due a new contract (every bad game lowers that number) but Toffoli looks like a great fit and will eat up most of the salary cap increase. There aren't many expendable contracts that are elligible, or worth much on this team to dump salary.

  5. No. Just, no. We have a great group of veterans. We also don't need anymore smallish forwards, especially aging smallish forwards. And by the way, this has to be 25 teams possible teams talked about for Kane by now. Just pick a team already bruh. And not my Devils.
