i cannot believe the cap situation the sens are in. they can’t scrap together the ~2 mil they need to sign a key RFA even for 1 year and they’re carrying a 20 man roster. they managed to lock down all their young talent long-term (which SHOULD benefit your team in the long run). they don’t have much bloat in their contracts cause their “worst” contract is joseph at 2.95 x 3 (which isn’t great, but not terrible). they STILL can’t pay this guy. just wild. the sens are so lucky he isn’t eligible for an offer sheet because he’d be so easy to pry out of ottawa given their cap. 1 year at 4.2 and all it’d take would be a 2nd rounder.
