From a Canucks fan, we were outplayed which makes sense because the Oilers came out swinging and wanted revenge. Difference was our backup goalie is better than your starting goalie lol the Oilers just refuse to solve their goaltending issue.
Edmonton’s defence is invisible. Besides Bouchard who I only notice in the o zone, I only noticed ekholm twice the whole game, nurse maybe 4 times.. Who else even plays d on Edmonton. Referring to game 2.
With the way short training camps are run, I always see the first 10 games of the season as pre season games. Players getting into the speed and physicality of the regular season. As a Canuck fan this start is great because we need it. For the Oil they will win more than enough games this year and be in the playoffs. I want to see 20 regular season games from any NHL team before I start looking at fixing perceived weaknesses.
For all of you blaming the Oilers goalie for there loss. Show me a good goalie ? And ill show you a good Coach ? Canucks fans should be happy considering the start of last season.

Jack Campbell or Stuart Skinner should not be EDM's starting goalies. Darnell NURSE should NOT be your highest paid defenseman.
