  1. wow. I can't wait till they get comfortable with each other. This is a team with lot's of new faces. Sprong! always shooting. That was a fun game. It looks like they are having fun…so cool to see.

  2. The only line that hasnt scored is the 4th line, i dont mind if they are getting a good forecheck and smashing guys like fisher and kostin do, but i would like to see someone like berggren on that line as i dont believe veleno brings anything on offense and hes not very strong on the puck. Plus i think kostin has an underrated shot. Putting a playmaker like bergren on that line would give someone like kostin and fisher more opportunities to score, gonna need that at some point, as good teams have a 4th line that can score, and veleno is just too vanilla offensively. The reason lalonde doesnt bring up bergren is the same reason he didnt put Raymond on the first line to start the season, he though he would be a defensive liability and that he couldnt hold onto pucks in the corners, and look how that turned out, one game later raymond is back on the first line proving him wrong. I really hope lalonde is smart enough to give berggren a chance to prove him wrong, otherwise they risk losing a very good player like berggren to free agency next season.

  3. Great show as always guys.
Love the new horn and song. You can feel the energy through the tv at LCA.
Cat and Sprong doing exactly what we thought they would bring. So thatā€™s good to see.
The defense outside of seider and wallman really is head scratching. I know itā€™s early yet petry is playing horrible. Rather have maata and ghost on the second line. Healthy scratch petry or Chiarot.
How many 20 goal scorers do we have this year? I think 6. Cat, Raymond, sprong, Larkin, compher and ras.
Also do you think veleno will get traded so we can bring up a prospect? I canā€™t stand veleno to be honest.

  4. In my view, Larkin is showing how good of a set-up man he really is, now that he has a bona fide scorer on his wing. Raymond can pot 'em as well, as well as some extra grit to his game, now that he put on a few pounds and got stronger in the offseason.

I feel like Maata needs to remain in the lineup, and we should cycle between Chiarot and Petry. Petry is very physical, and while that's a good thing, it also pulls him out of position. Someone like Maatta, who can kinda pick up the slack whenever Petry wants to be physical, would be of great benefit.

  5. If the opposing goalies didn't make outstanding saves the Wings should have buried both the Devils and TB with 4 or 5 additional goals. I saw this in allot of games last year the Wings came out strong in the first then the other team had to make adjustments coming out in the second. Petry is a step behind. I would like to see Edvinsson come up. Veleno and Chariot are at 0 +/- and playing in tough situations and doing the job. If Veleno had a better shot he would have 3-4 goals so far. Too early to judge. Husso is great in close but should stop those shots further away that he continues to not stop.

  6. I think ghost is here next year, petry had a solid game 2, he hit everyone and moved the ouck effectively which is all you can expect, it was maata seider and hall getting caught in odd man rushes, edvinson is still some added weight away from making the wings, he gets pushed around too easily for a guy his height, plus why would you not want a solid defensman on your number 2 pp. Danielson had no business believing he'd make any roster with the depth Detroit has at forward, I'm sure the wings told him that in preseason and training camp. A lot of this can change at the mid point depending on where the wings are in the standings, but i doubt they'll be out of the playoffs by the trade deadline. They outshot, out chanced, out hit, and basically out played 2 teams who are playiff bound, and we've seen nothing from peron, little to nothing from copp, ras will stop squeezing his stick too hard and start burying his chances soon enough, and husso has been average at best so far, hes due for at keast 5-7 stellar games. Hall will be on the hotseat if hes not stellar this year, already was in Toronto because of how horrible he was in the playoffs and he's the only guy i saw boughner berate for one mistake last night. Bottom line get used to this lineup, unfortunately id like to see veleno go but they like his vanilla defensive game.
