    imma be real here : either the federal govmt closes down Hockey Canada or they resign. they won't resign. so here we are. this hockey canada culture has to change and it start by leaving the old guys behind.

    I think the whole situation about Hockey Canada shows the core of the problem where the sexual abuse scandals are a symptoms or result of the sickness. The management IS the problem and a structure like that is wrong where you can't get rid of them when even the full federal parliament would. They should not be running our national sport. Recent lack of transparency shows they don't intent to change as well. They now became a national embarrassment.

    While talking to the media, Sprong said that no one offering him a contract as a UFA was a “wake-up call” and that he needed to work on being able to play a 200-foot game. In my little corner of the Kraken fanbase, from what we saw this preseason it looks like he’s actually putting in that effort.

    hockey Canada – What a joke of an organization. First, he has the BALLS to show up and hand out the medals to the Women's Canadian National team, and then they send out that bullsh** poll asking if the "media attention to the investigation is overblown" and then this new second account that the Daily Mail found, showing they had a second slush-fund to silence assault cases… and now they say there is no problem with leader ship.

    I have one thing, and one thing only to say to ALL of Hockey Canada management: F*** off. You don't belong there. Do yourselves and the rest of the nation a favor and disband already!!

    Pardon the profanity – but their sheer arrogance and audacity is just… mind-blowing. As a lifelong Hockey Fan, and a former Timbits player – this makes me SO angry.

    Hockey Canada is trying to deflect with the weak argument that "others do it too", and branding those who would call for consequences as "extremists". They also floated the idea that without them at the helm, maybe the lights wouldn't stay on in rinks across Canada. Delusions of Grandeur, anyone? Follow the talking points, because they've hired Navigator P.R., and we'll be able to tell from who in the media parrots these lines who works for Navigator P.R. on the sly.

    Damn I really hoped DK was gonna earn a spot with Vancouver. Injuries killed his career too early. He was a pretty damn good defenseman. Sad he's only 32 and that was probably his last shot.
