On the one hand, credit to the Kings for making something out of nothing in this game after being down by 3 on multiple ocassions. On the otherhand, the goaltending was atrocious, Fiala was having maybe the worst game of his career (yet somehow managed 3 assists wtf!?), Roy taking multiple stupid penalties, the list goes on. I honestly can’t believe they managed to get a point here, but holy fuck, they have a lot of work to do.
I don’t know how I’m going to survive an entire season of games like this.
Decent to very good overall hockey being played, but plagued with way too many individual errors and bad goaltending. Fiala had three points but he was one of the worst players tonight. Roy and Danault also pretty awful, which is shocking considering how stable they normally are.
Byfield and Laferriere continue to impress at least. Managed to get something out of that game.
But can we stop repeating last season?
Longest Kings shootout I can remember but that was terrible. Copley can’t win it twice. Kopitar couldn’t bury it for the win. And nobody nobody wanted to score

Fiala should be demoted to bottom six until he can prove he can play even below average defensive hockey
Cant understand why Kempe didnt shoot. He is our best shootout guy.
Shoot last next time, please. Put the pressure on the opposing goalie after 3 rounds
If Copley stops just one of those soft goals he let in, we win. Good comeback. Look at the negatives, focus on the positives and move forward.
FiFi had a bad night. Not worried he will rebound.
Kopitar needs to be further down the list on shootouts.

All good…season just started. Showed lots of heart coming back from 5-2.
This felt like another game where the team is still kind of gelling and figuring out their game. Subtract Kev’s awful turnovers and Copley’s weak goal and the Kings easily clean up to get 2 points tonight.
The Canes are insanely lucky to walk away with a W.
Yeah we definitely need a tendy. Season is gonna be another wash if we’re sticking with this tandem
Man………….I think we got some fight in us and I love it. Team is making early season mistakes but they got heart. I can see why they were up with the Avs for winning the west this year. Very excited I’m also digging the trio in thr booth.
I’ll take the point but being up 1-0 in the shootout going into round 3.. that one stung
Fiala might have had the worst game of his career, Roy wasn’t disciplined, and Danault disappeared. 2 short handed goals and basically an own goal yet we still pulled out a point. Everything went wrong and we still had a game, holding out hope. PLD and byfield should play on a line, they had one play together that looked super dangerous
Kev was bipolar tonight. I’m pretty confident in saying that this will be his worst game of the year, and yet he still stacked up points.
Everything rides on either Copley or Talbot finding a decent groove.
I was at this one and liked a lot of what I saw. The canes looked like the contenders they are the first 10 minutes of the game, but I honestly thought the Kings carried the play most of the game. Felt like most of what Carolina got was from what the Kings gave them.
Byfield was flying I thought and the team was pretty physical. Very fun one to be at, but a weird game too.
I was a Canes fan visiting. Met some super awesome new Kings fan Michelle and we chatted back and forth. Awesome first visit to LA for me!
This game is a perfect example of what it means to outscore your weaknesses.
Terrible goaltending (2 of those 5 are bad goals) but enough offense to overcome the worst goaltending in the league.
we need to sign a goalie and learn how to score in a shootout.. holy shit
