I think it’s hilarious to start a sentence with “As a black man…” but honestly, as a black man it’s pretty damn cool I got to meet him when the all-star game was in Vancouver back in the late 90s. I couldn’t really grasp the significance of it as a 7-8 year old, but it’s nice to have the memory.
