[Stein] Swaps today for the Devils…the two top lines in particular as they try to jumpstart more balanced scoring. Hughes moves to Meier’s center, Hischier between Toffoli and Bratt, No Haula or Nosek moves things around on the last two lines, Miller rotating.

Lindy Ruff Line Blender™ Alert
I’m not too keen on breaking up Toff Jack and Jesp, but I’ll try anything once especially since its so early in the season and something’s gotta give.
I’m okay with this, hopefully it gets Timo going.
Also, is there an update on Haula? I’m assuming he’s dealing with that same injury.
Really fucking splitting up Jack and Bratt? Give Timo a chance to drive Holtz and Haula(or McLeod if Haula is out), let Nico Palat and Mercer reignite that chemistry from last season. I like Lindy but this is a strange combination
Just because Toffoli-Hughes-Bratt worked in the pre-season doesn’t mean we don’t make changes.
I would have maybe gone
Timo-Hughes-Bratt
Toffoli-Nico-Mercer
before completely blendering the Jack line, but hey we gotta make changes.
I also remember Bahl-Dougie being a good pairing for a stretch last year so I wouldn’t mind trying that and just having Siegs-Marino as a straight up shut down pair.
Holtz-Nico-Timo

Where do I submit my resume for assistant coach?
Joking aside, I know this is unpopular but it makes a lot of sense. Meier-Hughes-Mercer was dominant against Carolina in the playoffs and Bratt adds more play driving/play making to Nico’s line. I love watching Jack and Bratt together but this benefits the rest of the guys in the top 6.
One thing Im not going to argue about is giving McLeod a bigger opportunity. Dudes always making offense out of nothing.
Hopefully Haula is ok, he’s been pretty good so far.
