Could Pierre Dorion be waiting until Norris plays a few games to decide if he wants to trade someone to make room for Pinto? Cause if (god forbid) Norris goes back on the LTIR they don't need to make cap space.. Ridley is playing well enough that it takes some of the urgency out of it
I hate shootouts personally. I mean, why not have a shot accuracy competition decide the game?! I would much rather that we have ties again and get rid of these 3-point games altogether. Absolutely nothing wrong with a tie. Can't wait to have both Norris and Pinto in the lineup when the time comes. Loving hearing Simmer again. I was so bummed when TSN 1200 cancelled the 10-2 and 2-6 shows. Hate listening to American syndicated radio. No hockey coverage at all. Great show lads, we are so lucky to have you. Go Sens Go!! Why won't someone in Ottawa recognize the obvious that Pinto won't be signed until Norris is up and going? The team literally cannot sign Pinto without moving a player but at that point, they are down another body but still have no cap space. Pinto won't be able to enter the lineup right away so they'll be stuck icing 11 forwards until Norris is healthy or Pinto is ready. The latter could be at least a few games. You can't emergency recall in that scenario. So they need Norris to be healthy to know that they can ice 12 forwards while Pinto is getting up to speed. I bet both the contract and the trade to fit it have already been agreed to in principle

By chanting, “We want Pinto!”, at the games, you’re only making it HARDER for Dorion to make a trade to free up cap space to sign him. Pierre loses leverage with every chant. Cuz all the GMs will argue, “Your fanbase is growing impatient and is chanting at games.”

TSN1200 is a shell of its former self without Simmer…..Versage, too. I wish this chat was longer! Trading Chabot is a perfect solution. Tarasenko was a terrible signing. GSG! Would you rather win a cup, or be surrounded by every best friend you've ever had? Come on. I don't think the market is bullish on Chabo with that contract.
To me it’s clear, I would absolutely trade Chabot, I’ve been saying this for a year now, maybe Calgary for Hanafin???
Did PD gamble that Toronto would buyout M Murray and expected to use that CAP money for Pinto contract? if so, he lost. Only way out now may be waiting for other team to get desperate due to LT injury and to call Sens to take on a contract.

Funny story (maybe not so funny): Used to see Shawn Simpson on CTV Morning Live. I always enjoyed his segments and wished they were longer actually. He just seemed like a genuine happy-go-lucky guy – my kind of person – instantly likeable. The story is that one day Shawn said something about the Sens on Twitter and I commented “Shawn are you a Sens fan? I’m curious because it’s hard for me to tell…” (or something along those lines) and he BLOCKED me! I don’t know why this was offensive – misconstrued? I guess it hit some nerve for which I am truly sorry because it certainly was not my intent. If he ever unblocks me after reading this, I promise that my lips are sealed forever! 😊
