Petry had back to back games with terrible trips. The wings were lucky on one and no penalty was called but one could say their lost their first game against the devils because of that penalty.

Re: Habs Injuries: as a life long Habs fan and a Kirby Dach fan it is devastating to hear the torn ACL & MCL news. He had a great start to the season and I had high hopes for his season. Too bad to hear about Heineman & Reinbacher too…..those guys should be back in near future.

Re: Habs trade pieces: Habs have some solid veteran "D" and "F" trade pieces. Bodes well as trade deadline approaches as some contenders will need help.

As a Sens fan, I like the Kubalik trade idea MUCH more than getting rid of Matty Jo or Branny. I like Kubalik. He can fire a one timer with the best of them, but that could be the thing that a team could be looking for. The resulting lines of a Kubalik trade, as you described them, would be ideal! Get a pick or two back for him, get Pinto Signed, let Norris heal up fully and let's get this thing going properly!

He's injured more games than he plays. And you think Vancouver should retain salary.
The SENS don't understand it doesn't matter WHO they can trade (Joseph, Kubalik, etc) other teams KNOW they have leverage and therefore no trade will garner fair trade value for whoever they're trading… So in trading Joseph or Kubalik will require at minimum a first round pick or top prospect in return and no trade will garner fair market value of what players WOULD HAVE or SHOULD HAVE been worth… This is what Ottawa's GM is being so stubborn and not accepting… Unfortunately in this case they just have to bite the bullet and choose the option that is less of two undesirable alternatives but what CANNOT happen is just prolonging the obvious hoping and praying that the status quo asking prices will drop which they will NOT!!! Let's see how long the can foolishly continue to play short-handed!!!
Trade Chabot he is overrated and isn’t worth the money.

keep up the great work but i will be following only the senators for now on ,I'm just fed up with every year players are gone for the season and were only in the 1st week .I've been following the Canadians since their 4 cups in the 70's but every time there is hope a major piece falls in battle and I'm now 66 and a stroke survivor but now disabled So I will now only focus on the Senators and Leafs. Now I understand why the Hawks gave up on Dach he's talented but wreckless and injury prone
IMO oilers should be chasing Carolina to get pesce, they’re horrible defensively and pesce is so good on that side of the game

Petry is scratched because they have to get in maata. They have 7 D. So makes sense they have to get all 7 in. Also, det has 3 goalies so Lyon will get a game in soon doesn’t mean husso or raimer is done. But yes petry is a bottom pair and could get scratched if he isn’t playing well to get another seasoned def in a game.
Imagine the Sens never trading for DeBrincat and would have Pinto signed and Korchinski or another as your top prospect. 🤷🤷
Canucks fan… Since he became a Canuck, Conor Garland is 11th in the NHL in 5vs5 points amongst left wingers, and he's the 45th highest-paid LW. He's very serviceable in the middle 6 and fairly good on both sides of the puck. Are we so sure we want to trade him, much less retain salary on him?

One thing for sure… Pierre Dorion is completely incompetent. In what universe do you leave Pinto unsigned and make the moves he's made. Piss poor return from Detroit, signing Tarrasenko before Pinto is just bewildering.
It's not like the Nucks to act decisively, but my gut tells me that Garland will get moved sooner than later, as Mikheyev is back In a couple of days
