He was not the consensus top corner in the draft. That being said it doesn’t matter what Draft people say. Nobody knows on 98% of these players. It could be good or bad and we won’t know for 3-4 years. Like you said, you just have to put your faith in the personnel people of your team and hope they were right.
He wasn’t consensus best by far, he was a slight favorite above Christian Gonzalez, who I actually prefer by a mile, but he was projected a pick or two ahead of the CB2
The fact they actually took a DB that high shows how much they liked him. Woolen and Witherspoon should be a top DB duo in my mind in a couple years. My Eagles and Seahawks made their teams a lot better with especially their two first round picks but really the whole class from both.

If he can duplicate what sauce did at pick 6 last year we will have done good picking him but imo Jalen Carter is super special I would have taken Jalen
