Alberts tries to over sell the hit in order to get a call and KOs himself in the process-what a moron. Mcgratton hits him clean in the shoulder and Alberts' head barley makes contact with the glass. The damage is when Alberts falls, watch his feet. If he was KO'd from the hit, he'd have just crumpled, but he kicks his own legs out WWE style and smashes his own face into the ice in the process.
My initial reaction was a DIVE because the way he flail his arm. But now after watching the replay, it looks like his arm was just motionless and he seemed to be knocked out cold. Hard to tell.
Ok, I know I will be hammered but Alberts 'embellished' this hit and was NOT unconscious. Watch the arms go UP after the hit…McGratton should have receive 5 and game though.
Looks like the Getzlaf hit on Hamhuis from a couple years ago. It's easy for uninformed idiots at the computer to accuse the Canucks on the receiving end of embellishing. Might be singing an entirely different tune if said idiots were actually out there on the ice, though. Surprising show of strength from Sestito, for once.
Reputation call on grants clean hit maybe a 2 for going high but no way a 5 min maj. Refs should get fined when they handout bs calls. They should be able to review hits like that rather than make the wrong call. Alberts is a pussy
I give Sestito a lot of credit for going after and throwing with McGrattan… Of course, if the refs don't get in there, Sestito eventually gets KO'd, lol…..
So far, I've seen the refs come in between 2 mcgratta fights. First vs McLaren and now vs Sestito. Both of which looked like they were about to get KOd if it werent for the refs.
It was a good fight and a good reason to fight, good old fashion hockey. They were both throwing and landing big punches, none of you would step on the ice and do it so shut the fuck up.
This is exactly why the NHL need to keep fighting in the game, if you take fighting out of the NHL you will end up with the same issue they have in Euro Hockey where they take cheap shots and get away with it on a regular basis.
The ENFORCER still has a role to play in today's NHL
Alberts dove on the hit and faked being KO'd. You can see the way he begins to fall is unnatural and forced. Once his body gets close to the ice he brings his arms forward to protect his face when he lands. After he has landed safely he moves his arms to his side. 100% a dive. Moving your arms to protect your face does not at all match the behavior of someone who is unconscious

Hopefully Alberts is alright, that was a strong fight between Sestito and McGrattan.
Just when McGrattan starts getting going the refs come in to protect Sestito, bad hit by McGrattan though.
Refs broke it up too soon. Big ern was about to lay a beating on poor ol Tostito.
Tostitos took a beating there

flames are jokes just like mcgrattan.
Orpik would still be laying there.
zero punches landed…. Typical nhl fight these days.
Not a clean hit. But it was no wear near hard enough to justify the reaction. He took a dive.
McGrattan is a completely worthless, utterly useless piece of shit who simply wastes space wherever he is…but the hit was clean
Sestito with the win landed one more then McGtatten
Surprising show up by Sestito. Somehow, he is getting better each time and he's willing to trade punches without backing up. Got to give him that.
Well if that's the case he should stop playing hockey because that was a weak hit.
gratts is a beast
Surprised Sestito held his own. Good fight.
Lol at the retreat by sestito

Best fight from Tom Sestito

I WANT SOME BLOOD FUCKING PUSSIES.
Alberts seemed to embellish the hit.

After that shot by McCheapshot alberts fell harder than a fat kid on a jungle gym
Halfie girl at 1:51 behind Torts….. call me. maybe?
I hate to say it, but Alberts looks like he flopped
that shit was like rockem sockem robots lol

The stick wrapped around his face. That's probably what knocked his ass out. Gay fight though.

Poor Sestito. I think in his former life his head was a speed bag at Kronks gym in NY
What an embarrassment.
"wahh andrew help me, Big Ern is beating the &( out of me!!!"
shadow quote they stopped because sestito would have been bulldozed dummy. Typical weak canucks
McGrattan wasn't someone you wanted to drop the gloves against- unless you knew how to fight, because he sure as hell did.
Damn Canucks had some decent fighters that year. Sestito, Weise, Kassian, Bieksa
Did Sestito ever win a fight?
hit him ''
I would never want to square up with McGratton lol
For those saying that Alberts dived, take a look at his eyes at 0:59 as he took the hit. It looked like he was already hurt then.
