Parayko is so washed up and injury prone and a defensive liability and signed for another half dozen years at over 6 mil! Our GM should be fired if he trades for him. Lily is already twice as good. I wouldn’t trade Benoit for him. Guys, salary cap is actually important.
Parayko is not much of a hitter. I thought he was until someone posted his stats. The Blues would have to keep lot of his pay check. But, yes, Sydorov, and Parayko sounds much more promising than what we got now.

knies was great last year with Willy and JT. Maybe we don't need a trade use the guys in our system.
I believe Willy signs maybe not a 8 year but I think sometime after January when teams have a better look at what the cap will be.

I know Matthews has 2 hat tricks and i love Matthews but in my opinion Nylander is the only guy that has that McDavidesque "I will go end to end when I want to" appeal to him. He has been the best player on the team in their three games and if they get rid of him that will be a huge mistake.
I think the standings scroll at the bottom was still set to two days into the season or so.

The leafs are the only team allowed to give Willy a 8 year deal. That is the ace in the hole for the leafs giving 76M over that time.
I can't believe there's so many fans wanting to trade Nylander. Who do they think will replace him? Listen, if Nylander wasn't a Leaf and some other team was looking to trade him those same fans would be calling that team crazy and begging the Leafs to try and get him!
I've never believed Nylander was going to leave. He's a pro elite player and he's trying to get the very best deal for himself and his family and NHL agents, at least the good ones, the ones we would want representing us in that situation, know exactly how to maximize the deals for their clients.
This is a game both sides understand, as soon as one blinks, or they come to terms they both feel they've "won" it will get done.

Knies is great. not sure willy will take 9.5 and i dont see why they dont sign him. 2 years from now tavares isnt making 11mil. Liljegren has been really good.
Parako has not been living up to his contract for the last couple of years. If we trade Lili it's a loss.

I think it is smart to keep Nylander, Toronto will get a lot of regular season success with him.
Don't get your hopes up. I've heard Parakyo rumors involving Toronto every year since the league started in 1917.
