[O’Connor] I think they view the rookie d-man rotation as a separate thing. They don’t want either of these guys to sit for long, but they’re not ready to bench one of the vets. Also, take a look at the ice times of the D. If a vet does get scratched, it’s gonna be Seeler first, not Staal.

In the initial tweet, Charlie defends the scratching of Frost for a 2nd game because Tortorella would want to keep the lineup the same after the Vancouver win.

In this tweet, Charlie backtracks and claims that scratching Zamula doesn’t count as changing the lineup.

Why isn’t Torts ready to bench a veteran yet? Staal has done nothing to earn his roster spot. Zamula has.

Gotta say sanheim has looked really good so far early in the season

  3. Andrae will be sent down as soon as Ristolainen returns. Duh. Seeler or Stahl ultimately will be the healthy scratches. This is so obvious not sure what OConnor is surmising. Must need the clicks.

That’s so dumb… Seeler has good trade value. Last year he was an analytical darling, can play both the left and the right, and makes league min. That’s worth at least a Tier B prospect or a 4th round pick
