    Oilers looking far too leaky defensively to be considered a contender, no way they should be losing to us and Vancouver who are both rebuilding teams. They did just about nothing all night, flyers locked them down

    The Oilers look very, very far from a Stanley Cup contender at this point. Overreaction season, for sure, but this defense and goaltending is absolutely horrendous.

    Compared to how Colorado and Vegas have come out of the gate, the Oilers are clearly pretenders.

    They have to shake the lines and not be so top heavy. There's an ego with these top players and who can play with them. Good teammates value winning, and playing good transitional hockey. All.connor.mcdavid and the Oilers care about is the pp and breaking records. But 0 final appearances in year 9. This is some rick nash, kovalchuk situation.
