  1. Dick Lebeau was so respected . Easy to listen to literally one of the best of his era

  2. As a Bengals fan from the beginning, I hate the Steelers, but you have to respect them.

  3. Ima bucs fan but I always liked the steelers any great defense steelers got a few HOF on offense but defense they got 1st ballot HOFers at every position and got more coming not many organizations can say that

  4. I'm a Detroit Lions lifer but that Deebo and Troy defense was always and still is my favorite. Straight DAWGS! Back when Defense was fun to watch.

  5. We are talking 4 top-of-the-line, next-level, Grade-A, exemplary, Summa cum laude studs right here! Yes sir!💪💪💪

  6. Troy is such a legend coming from a lions fan I love the way he played arguably the greatest at his position

  7. The Whole League was afraid of POOR Joe Greene even the commissioner. Mr. Greene I want to think you for your Winning attitude and hating To lose. Just like me…

  8. If you're reading this Troy THANK YOU AGAIN

I remember when I took my 4 year old twin sons to a Steelers game. My sons both had on Troy Polamalu jerseys and after the game we went to the players parking lot, since we had access because my sons cousin Keiwan Ratliff was playing for the Steelers at the time. While in the parking lot Troy was surrounded by so many grown-ups trying to get his autograph. Most likely so they could turn around and sell the item. After Troy opened the door for his wife he looked over the crowd and saw my 2 sons and I about 25 feet away off in the distance. He then summoned for us to come to him and he then signed both of their jerseys! They still have those jerseys to this very day. My sons Bryce and Bronx are now 20 years old and in college.

    Best sports pod cast around

  10. Troy coming out of his shell. Cool bad ass man to have on your defense. No doubt. Steeler Nation all day 365 days a year !!!!!😎

  11. Not sure who I’d rather have on a team out of Woodson or Palamalu. One’s psychic and the other’s a freak of nature and interception machine.

  12. The conversation about letting players be themselves and go off what they see vs putting them in a box is pretty much why my high school football team suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucked so much ass but the soccer team was beating opponents they really really had no business beating.

The football coach had a group of very talented kids to work with who were pretty unconventional at times. During practice we’d occasionally improvise and end up getting a sack or an interception deviating from the script and he’d chew us out for it and tell us we needed to follow the play. When we followed the play we sucked. Like we’d make a stop on average every 50 yards or so and almost never force a turnover.

In games if we deviated from the plan on defense and made a play happen we got benched and chewed out.

    Meanwhile….

The soccer coach didn’t give a fuck what you did as long as it worked. One time at half time he said “I have no idea what kinda dumb ass fucked up formation you guys have been doing on the field this game but they’ve had only 2 shots on goal to our 20 and the scores 4-0, so we’ll discuss this in practice while we watch the film. Just keep doing whatever the fuck y’all are doing.”

And we did watch the tape. He asked us all what we were doing, we had a long conversation and came up with a new formation and went 9-1 during the season and made it 3 rounds in the playoffs. The football team was 2-8 that year…

Football coach was fired after that and the new coach was a bit more open to player suggestions and asking things like “what did you see in this situation?” And he went 7-3

  13. Troy talked all about being bad,his mistakes, adjusting them, his teammates and his coaches. So Humble even in the HOF he continues to carry that with him what a guy!
