  1. As a lightning fan, that first period was embarrassing they raised the ecf banner tn that should really annoy the leafs but they came out like babyshit. Same ol leafs I guess

The league has eased the Leafs into this regular season like an old man climbing in a warm bath. 3 home games to start, against the Habs, Wild, and Blackhawks, and they barely eked out a 2 and 1 record. If the Habs hadn't collapsed, the Leafs could have been 1-2 to start. Then the league doesn't have them playing a road game until 8 days into the season, on 3 days rest, and they STILL couldn't take advantage of that? Leafs fans, you had best start to curb your enthusiasm.

  3. I've mentioned that in the comments before, "deterrent" from enforcers is a myth. They can't/don't actually protect your players, in some cases they might even draw a bullseye on them in order to draw the enforcer into taking penalties. The positive that they can provide is pumping up adrenaline on the bench and in the audience.
