The Edmonton Oilers’ struggles to begin the 2023-24 NHL season continued last night in Philadelphia. The Oilers fell 4-1 to a Flyers team that has significantly more urgency to their game from start to finish.

Similar to Edmonton, the Jets have had a tough start to the year, holding a 1-3-0 record, with their most recent loss coming last night to the Vegas Golden Knights. Gabe Villari won’t be in the Winnipeg lineup after injuring his knee against his old team, the LA Kings, earlier in the week. However, Mark Scheifele and Connor Hellebuyck will be after the pair of them signed new deals to stay in Winnipeg for the long term. To help the guys preview the game, Murat Ates from The Atheltic will join the show for his debut appearance.

Dylan Holloway has been the most impressive Oiler through 4 games.
Woody’s new system is failing and he needs to start holding players accountable, making stupid mistakes for a cup contender is costing us games, the team isn’t putting any effort on the defensive side. Holland needs to find a way to get rid of Nurses contract so we have leverage on the salary cap, The only bright side to this season is soup is looking better than last year.
