And this right here is why the Erik Johnson signing was huge. I’m so glad he’s on our team. These are crucial lessons the team needs to embrace to become champions. It’s undeniable.

This is a leader. Not because he's been around a long time, but because he's honest and is not afraid to tell the fans and his teammates. The team's captains talk about rainbows and unicorns… Johnson talks blunt truth. And he's right.
So glad he stepped up and said this out loud. He is a guy who is allowed to do that, he's seen failure and success. Hope the team listens and gets a grip on their defensive commitment before it's too late and the season is sunk.
Granato keeps acting like last season was good enough. A season in which you had an 18 game losing streak and missed the playoffs. He comes back with the status quo this season. Mittelstadt should be on the top line. Tage should be on the wing. Tuch isn’t a first liner, and honestly needs to be scratched a game. Putting Johnson and Clifton on the 3rd pair, so that you can keep your top 4, that wasn’t very good, together. Keeping Samuelsson as a top pair Dman, when he just can’t play the minutes at his normal high level. Not trading Olofsson. Starting the season with him in the starting lineup… not trading a goalie. Not getting a real veteran backup, for Levi to learn from. Not trading Jokiharju, and tying him to Power, like a ball and chain…
