Get him off the ice. There is no other option. He's been doing these kinds of plays for years now. He's not getting better and the argument of who else would be left on the right-side is empty IMHO – it would be better to have less experienced players who probably won't make the same type of errors on nearly every shift than he does. He's a huge liability on the ice and he's now taking out Petey in 2 consecutive games.
Jeff Patterson you forgot shooting the puck over the Glass vs oilers. 2 giveaways vs the flyers. Getting beat 1on1 vs flyers and taking a desperation penalty because he was beat. The Tampa mistakes. Stop saying julesen and mcward can't replace him. They can and should!

Tyler Myers will likely sign a $1.5-2.5 million contract next season and Canucks fans will be scratching his head because he seems to be playing better elsewhere, when they don't expect him to be a top 4 defenceman. If he plays reduced minutes, 5 on 5, on the 3rd pairing he would be fine, but all these defencemen added to the Vancouver roster are also 3rd pairing defencemen. Fans would lose their minds seeing Juulsen on the 2nd pairing.
Cole won cups in the right side. But Tocchet has a brain block with using left handed D on the right side. Tocchet won't sit Myers because again he has another brain block when it comes to sitting out 6'8 defenceman. Tocchet needs to be more open minded.
There is no choice Tochet has to split Hughes and Hronek put one of Cole/Soucy on the right side then burry Myers on the 3/4 pairing. I get that isnât what Tochet likes but having Myers in the top 4 cost the team at least a point in Tampa. Not making adjustments shows Tochet isnât a good coach.
I'd rather see Juulsen and Friedman than Myers. Sit or trade the Chaos Giraffe!!
When Meyers has time he acts too quickly when he doesn't have time he acts way too slow.
I'd rather Friedman and Juulsen ahead if Myers anyway. Not surprised that JPat says to leave him be. That's the kind of guy he is

Enough about Myers being BIG. He's tall not big. Look at him. He's skinny, thin. Lanky guys like him usually struggle
I say let Myers sit in the press box for a couple of games, let him reflect on his recent plays n give him time to think, to motivate himself and so on…because right now it really is a liability whenever he's on the ice and we can't afford that right now especially if we don't want to have a bad start again and right now 4 games in is still considered the "start" part of the season. So yeah we just can't have him causing turnovers leading to goals virtually every time he's on the ice, we have got to have at least an above 500 record in the first 10 games to start if we're thinking of making the playoffs imo.
If Myers leaves we begin anoose. I just hope we all recognize and are playing fairly. We will overcome. But. we will begin anew. and that takes a certain amount of time. Time which we all know we have. So why not just build the best team possible and fuck them up.
Myers too slow to get puck. Opposition floods him knowing Myers wonât hurt them with a good pass.
canucks too slow coming back picking up loose checks. This helps the weak defense.
