I'm torn on this because the ref should be closer to the actual corner instead of the 5-10ft he was, but the ref is closer because the shot came and it's easier to see if the shot gets covered or goes wide from where he was standing. On top of it the puck redirected to the corner right where the "correct" position is. D'Angelo more wrong than the ref for not watching where he was going for sure.

I was once called the R-word at 16 years old for missing a goal in a 7-1 men's league game that may, or may not, have gone bar down and straight out. I couldn't tell because it was a breakaway pass and I was chasing the play as the only official. Since I didn't know for sure I waived it off thinking it was 7-1 and didn't really matter one way or another. I'm not carrying it with me or anything…..🤥🙄 In my dreams tonight, and when I re-tell this story, I'm giving that guy 2 minutes for unsportsmanlike. History is as you tell it folks. Cheers.
