cat had another big night. way to go louzer. i guess goal scoring don't count in 2023. cat now leads nhl in scoring 5 g 3 a. good luck thinking isles can win enough games scoring one goal. on the bright side wings took it to pens 6-3. wings looking good with wins over tb and pens. and you never see an isle anywhere near the scoring leaders. and i know the jive about cat wanting to go only to detroit. a real gm can sell a player to play for his team. unless you are a louzer. btw casey and jpg lead in face off % for those that care. Go dobson. this should finally be the year he gets it. that is my rant for the night.
Penguins I don't think are making playoffs or even Capitals so good chance staying in Top 3 of Metro. Carolina is sorta meh with Rangers a team I can see missing Post Season hopefully :). Then Devils are like having issues with Timo or so. Senators I think will make it along with Detroit perhaps. I just don't want anything to do with Garland or anybody named that hehe ;). If going to make another failed trade with Vancouver for Bo Horvat at least get a Brock. He has size with scoring ability was doing really well with like 4 in a game :). Having some 5'8 guy wont helps as speed is not helping when got neutral zone trap. Cycling in zone or things like that. Engvall has Speed and Size. Can Score Goals help the line he is on. Eberle would be interesting but you can't go home again :). Its like getting Matt Moulson or Okposo back :). Win The Division :).
Dobson will never be a shutdown D. His Offense is what's most important and who his D partner is. We play team defense but we need goals to win games. His 40-50+ points are desperately needed. Also, People are way too hard on the kid.
No way can we get Garland. We have no cap space and nothing other than our 1st round pick next summer. Bad cap management by Lou. I knew something like this would happen. Sending Holmstrom down, plus Wally isn't enough. Also, We don't need another bottom 6 guy!!!!!
Cutting cost?! This is not cool, especially because I can't watch games I listen to them. Being in Vegas and all. This makes no sense, we have wealthy owners and a brand new building but not enough money to pay our radio broadcasters? They can't travel with the team?!

So we want to add another small guy to a team that plays a defense first game? Even after they don’t use guys like Ishakov. Speed is gd but we still can’t score a lot. So we will have a smaller but faster team that can’t score and isn’t big enough to play the tough style we play? Great
I'm liking Aho's game more and more. His vision and clean passing under pressure is very solid. If he puts on 10 more lbs of muscle and keeps getting better he could have a solid career. 5' 10" 190 is hard to tip over.
Does anyone else get the feeling Dobson thinks he has arrived and lacks the drive to get better? He's still duffing the puck when he has full control. I'm serious when I say he may need to adjust his stick length.

I was happy with Bolduc as well. 14 total shots I give credit to all 6 d-men. Hopefully consistency is a part of the islanders game plan this season as well.
Only thing I am worried about is like horvat will garlands goal output take a dive joining the islanders due to style of play. Amazing when you see other rosters and how loaded they are and the islanders roster and how strapped they are due to cap. That’s one area Lou is not very savvy on. Toronto has a bunch of players on the roster that are offensively scary how this is done I have no idea. I agree as far as Gauthier and garland and moving picks (another annoying Lou trait). PLEASE, NO LEE ON FIRST LINE!

Hey Gil I'm concerned about the game on Tuesday night. Not because we only scored 1 goal. But because we have no toughness. There's no way the Arizona Coyotes should feel comfortable scrapping with us but they in fact did. McBain and Zucker totally did against our defensemen. If that Coyotes team whom are softer than puppy shit feel free to mess around with us. How will we stand up to the real tough teams in the league? Don't say Matt Martin because his last fight in 2021 was against Chara and that was a joke. Its known by now that the tough guy era is coming back.
