  1. The hit on Debrincat was a penalty. Watch the replay he took his right hand off his stick and grab Debrincats neck and pushed his head into the glass. Not sure what you were watching? Ref was right there.

  2. Waaay too early, but as a Wings fan, I will take their victories as they come. Gosh, I got goosebumps, my guy.
    Go Wings!

  3. Not like the Sens were loafing…. They put twice as many SOG and Korpse-Hollow made 4 great saves, but we out checked and out hustled them. Larkin goal a thing of beauty & Ghost… wow! Tangay now has the horses he needs on PP. Words Getting Out, there's fire in MOTOWN. Bettman is PISSED. GGDRW.

  4. Sens are gonna be fine, Ottawa just looked like the better team aside from korpisalo lol. Bad calls both ways ruined the flow of the game and the momentum the sens had. Game is a wash, move on to the next one.

  5. I'd say to early in the season, but Ottawa and Detroit forming a rivalry as they begin to become more competitive is awesome.

  6. Stevie Yzerman has given the Red Wings a reason to be more confident.
It really is that simple. Now they FEEL like they could be contenders again and that mindset ALONE, will start culminating in success later this season when cohesion amongst all the players finalizes.
It can be as simple as one player making the difference?

Doubt that? Ask Boston Bruins what picking yo Bertuzzi felt like and what happened because of it.

I'll say what others won't. Bruins were phenomenal all season but for the playoffs they grabbed Bertuzzi for whatever reason ( clearly not a long term since he was gone the season afterwards) but they got greedy and brought one guy in and it completely resulted in a first round LOSS after such an epic season.
The Debrincat presence is what has given the team a more positive mentality.
Yzerman's not done yet either. Not by a long shot. Draft picks aside.. theres gonna be another trade coming soon. Under the radar trade but man oh man.. it will be like the new Kirk Maltby.
    Im that confident.

  7. You are so right about Veleno he's been really good so far and if he continues to play like this he will be key to getting the Wings to the playoffs.

  8. I liked the Sens game Korpi just threw it away wish Forsberg started Husso was good, Sens controlled the play so not concerned on the Sens side was a good win for Detroit though that PP call on the Greig hit really threw the Sens off their game but they gotta learn to bounce back

  9. Although outshot, it looked pretty close 5v5. The difference was special teams dominated by the wings. 50% on the PP is insane.

  10. That penalty on DeBrincat might have been one of those "let settle this game down" penalty calls. I can't speak directly to the NHL, but I have played sports across different levels over my years. I've seen something like this happen before when it was a game with a lot of "passion" involved. The refs will sometimes call a penalty on something relatively minor, that would normally been overlooked as a "let them play" non-call, because they feel tension is building up and want to assert some control to prevent it going out of control. I think this type of behavior is much more likely in the fluid sports like basketball, soccer, and hockey where momentum can be huge and quite quickly build up to an out-of-control situation.

    Maybe, maybe not.

  11. The Wings need a new heated rivalry. Hopefully Sens can be that. I agree that the Sens might be a tick better than the Wings despite today, but the Wings are looking good. Great episode.

  12. would be cool if veleno has a breakout season this year, he went to my class last year (bc he used to go to my school) and seemed like a super chill and down to earth guy. Ironically, this was the week before he went to the world championship and well, we know what happened 😅

  13. Sens absolutely rubbed the Red Wings face in the dirt last season. Winning all but 1 game.
Ottawa has had huge amounts of lottery luck compared to Detroit. So yeah they should be ahead in their rebuild.

  14. Didn't watch but Larking with 2 primary assists and a goal on PPG is just incredible. Hope Detroit can stay good at powerplay this season!

  15. One of the 2 games I attended at LCA last yr was a loss for the Wings. Time for The Big Payback!

  16. Not even suprised, Keep on adding players Who Specialize in what your not getting done players start to get to do both what helps and what they do best. People forget, there are no "roadcones" outthere skating in the NHL. I think the talent is robust enough that the bottom team is no more than 3-4 Major changes from being as good as any team! It's a Fine line. Immagine you could change 3 things you choose about your team is it possible they win after? Wings 1 Heeled injurys, 2 More Shots, 3 Depth.

  17. Love that you’re trying new video ideas! For future recap type videos maybe have some graphics comparing the stats from each team? Makes it easier to keep track of while you’re talking. Either way, keep experimenting!

  18. This was an enjoyable game (save for some of the penalty calls made) and I'm looking forward to a lot more of this, not only for the rest of this season, but in the years to come as well
