Long season ahead
What even is offsides? Is it an abstract piece of art, performance art, or an interpretative dance?
Well, I guess that was a typical Minnesotan ending.
When you give up that many shots you kinda just should be thankful for the 1 point
If it take 3+ minutes to declare offsides you don’t have enough evidence to overturn it. Then to follow up on a bs call. Refs fucked us
Another millimeter offside challenge, another lost game. The NHL is such a fucking joke.
Aside from that, outstanding performance by Gus, but man the team has gotta wake the fuck up earlier
I repeat…I can’t stress how embarrassing it is that we not only lost to CBJ.. but that they put up 50 SOG on us AT HOME

Despite the overturned goal, I felt this was the deserved result. It is hard to give up 50 shots and win, definitely need to tighten that up. That being said, it sucks to waste such a good performance by the Gus Bus
Kap and Zuc looked like they were just coasting on that last shift
Man, the backend looks really bad with Spurg out. Faber is solid, and seeing some flashes of offense from Brodin, but Mids, Addy and Merrill look bad right now.

Felt like reffing really tilted the game momentum. Massive rally from the boys made it a fun game but you can’t rely on the bus to carry everyone like that

Unacceptable. Absolutely unacceptable how they played tonight. This game was handed to them on a silver platter. Also one of the worst games I’ve seen 97 play. Awful. Dean better give it to them.
If the Wild can just outshoot the other team for once I will consider that a win.

Nice 1.5 mi it’s shift by zucc in overtime where he passes up a clean shot then is too tired to backcheck and costs the team the game. Bad look for a vet
Kap and Zuc missed some amazing opportunities in OT. They decided to play ticky tacky instead.

Was at the game and the crowd was rolling. Energy kinda dies when there’s a four minute review to overturn our goal…
Positive side: we got a point despite the refs succeeding in a huge momentum swing calling off a legal goal and then assessing a BS penalty that resulted in a ppg. But we didn’t quit and that’s the right mentality.
Negative side: Gus was +0.01 GSAx, Merzlikins was -1.71 GSAx. We simply abandoned Gus in front of a firing squad and he nearly bailed us out.
As per the offside, NHL 23-24 rulebook states, in the glossary, that:
“The last player to physically touch the puck with his stick or body shall be considered in possession of the puck. (NOTE 1) A player can have possession of the puck without control, but he cannot have control of the puck without possession.”
And in the off-side rule it is clearly stated that a player in control of the puck can be in the offensive zone before the puck and still be onside. The only argument for the overturn is that MoJo was in possession but not in control of the puck, but since MoJo was moving the puck with the stick and no player on the Blue Jackets touched it this argument is very weak and supports my belief that we were robbed of a legal goal.
On a side note: is it bias or are we challenged and have overturned goals more often than league average?
Oh and I also liked the few penalties against us. Only three were called (I think) and two of them were BS. Addison received one for being shoved to the ice, yes it was holding, but you should also call Jenner on that play. Ek received one for being Ek because the refs decided that overturning a legal goal wasn’t a momentum swing big enough.
