I really really want him to play at least one more season, he has improved this offseason and I’m afraid that we’ll trade him and he’ll be how he was in his rookie season and we’ll get nothing in return

I know this is unrelated let’s talk about the future of Vancouver specially next years draft lottery, we all know jack Hughes is going 1st overall and what if we got him. The Hughes brothers can pick up where the sedins left off and become the faces of the franchise. But what if the Canucks don’t win the lottery and it’s Colorado or Buffalo or something like that, I’m not sure if I am willing to trade Petterson or a boeser to get the first overall pick. Who knows, we might have have trade both of them to draft Hughes. I’m not saying Petterson or boeser are worthless they big pieces for our future but how far should we go in getting jack plus all the stars Align, Jack is going to be playing the world juniors in Vancouver, The draft in Vancouver, not to mention his brother is a Vancouver Canuck so u sorta get what I mean. Personally I think we shouldn’t trade boeser or petterson and if we land the 1st overall pick in the draft via lottery, our team we’ll be stacked. I also found this interesting that some first overall picks help their team in winning the cup within three years, just look at Crosby and Kane. I’m not saying that is the fate for Vancouver but it’s interesting

Why? His value is virtually nonexistent right now, let the early part of the season play out. He really can’t be much worse than he was last year. If his play improves which I think it will; revisit the situation, and either keep him because you believe he can be a focal point going forward, or trade him and get a better return. Trading him now would be pointless and potentially very stupid.

I think the Canucks have a week lineup with little trade value. Trade Horvat and see the offers we get.
Maybe they should give him a better D partner. Pair him with Stecher instead of Gudbranson. Grudbranson sucks so bad. He is the kind of player that makes players around him worse. Maybe if they gave Hutton more ice time and cleared up the left side dmen he would look better and good enough to trade. To do that they would need to get rid of guys like Michael Del Zero and Alex "NTC" Edler.
They can't trade him since he is dog shit! He is terrible defensively and can't put up points. Could just waive him and he will pass thru and play in Utica
Canucks media and fans are too quick to give up on young players. Give Hutton 2 more full seasons, one at the very least.
Comparing Hutton to Parayko is a strrrrrrretch. Hutton isn’t even on biega’s level.
