The incredible thing is that you can see the equipment dude giving the dude on the bench a replacement stick before Lowry had taken 5 strides. My lord.
as someone mentioned b4 me….there is usually an equipment manager on the bench w all the players' replacement sticks, whose job is to follow the play & be prepared to grab a stick to hand to a player who has lost his stick…this is not an unusual occurence
I think this is my top bench assist, because the stick was handed to a guy who had possession (as much as that's possible without a stick), which is something I don't think I've seen before. Also I'm a Jets fan and I love Lowry shorthanded, 'cause he does stuff like this about as often as anyone.
Really feel like equipment managers should get official assists. I feel like them getting recognized for it would at the least make goals like this memorable and cool to see.

The equipment guy was Johnny on the Spot with that one. It's amazing the level of dedication these guys have to ensure the guys on the ice have what they need at a second's notice.
I was there and it was absolutely electric. that was directly after a few really bad missed calls against the panthers so the jets fans were extra loud and happy
I can't wait to see the day that someone loses/breaks their stick and grabs a stick from the bench and its the player's wrong hand but he still and gets an assist or goal

I think Datsyuk kicked the puck to Zetterberg for a goal short handed too, IIRC.
Appleton was heads up too… to realize Lowry had picked up a stick that quick and skate out wide for the pass. Amazing on all fronts.
Adam Lowry is THE pk guy. He consistently either gets shorties, or makes very dangerous chances on the pk for the Jets.
I like the jets way more this year then last year also I like crosbys goal from the 20-21 season
