Ekblad and MOntour are not on the 23 man roster. When they come back, new guys are gonna be waived or traded.
PoMo needs to go – SORRY , its same old issues since last year.., CONSISTENCY. And THAT is on coaching staff. I am going to go to every home game just to annoy Bill Zito and petition Maurice to be fired.
I heard that the owner (Vinny Viola) + his right hand Matt Caldwell had a hand in who we hired last offseason – when will they learn to leave the hockey business up to HOCKEY PEOPLE!!! Especially after the Tallon/Rowe fiasco!!! Allegedly Zito really liked someone but Viola didnt so we didnt hire them!!!! UGH… The military and owning a corporation has NOTHING to do with hockey AT ALL…. they need to stop acting like it does… ugh, I dont like the way this is all trending!!!
Gudas was good for the team but no way in hell was he a good defenseman. He gets beat regularly and dosent make clears just as much. He's older and not the hitter he used to be. And I've said it a bunch the team has no enforcer. I was disappointed they didn't keep Bret Ritchie over Lorentz or even cousins. Either way they don't have a thug or two. Bennet is getting to be too fragile. Vatrano had a hat trick a cpl games ago,he's fine.

Chucky looks like he's still dealing with the injury, his skating looked off last night and he looked hesitant to get in front of the net. He's been nonexistent these last 5 games. OEL was falling all over the ice last night, still having butterflies playing against his former team?
RE: EKBLAD – this is the last year of the no trade for him – next season, the last of his contract, it's a modified
RE: BOB – next year he has a modified no trade.
RE: Lundell – HE needs consistent linemates to help build confidence. Finns have a tendency to be sensitive (case in point, Barkov)
Keep Swags and offer him a 8 year 6.5 to 7 mil max per year. Give him his money over 8 years knowing the last half he prob wont live up to it. But he's 29 now, no way do we offer him 8 or 9 for 8 years. To rich and he'll drop off. As it is he's a one trick pony but he does perform in the playoffs so that is worth something. And we force move 72 or 5 to make that happen. Reino stays, do not overpay Montour who is also about to hit 30.
I'm not mad about losing, Vancouver was playing all the right ways. I'm mad that we managed to comeback to tie them, only to throw away it in the most embarrassing way.
It was a bad game but I’m gonna see where we’re at 10 games in before I panic. We did just beat the devils and leafs so we know we can play with the best of the best. We very obviously didn’t take the canucks seriously enough. They can’t be feeling good right now, I expect us to beat San Jose and beat them badly. Tkachuk gets a goal or 2 hopefully.
