‘We’ve got to clean a lot of our hockey up’: Dean Evason on Wild’s ghastly defensive effort

>“We weren’t good defensively. We weren’t good in the game,” coach Dean Evason, looking and sounding exasperated, said. “We didn’t execute defensively. We didn’t execute getting out of our zone. So, yeah, we didn’t do a lot of good things in this game, and yet we still had an opportunity in it, which was positive. But we’ve got to clean a lot of our hockey up.”

Same shit, different year. He keeps saying it but I’ve yet to see it actually get changed

Kap and Zuc were detrimental in OT.

Kap needs to get over this “slow start” and start playing like he wants to win.

  3. I would give the Wild a couple games with full lineup or at least without any key player missing before taking any real judgement about the season.

Id say that they also have to clean up their shitty passing. Passes hitting their skates, the opponents skates, passing too hard or making too many passes. MN is one of the poorer passing teams in the league IMO.
