  1. We need Barrie back, everyone loved him in the locker room. Keep the lines stop changing them every game I know for sure thatā€™s not helping anything

  2. Looked more like an upper glute/back issue. Hip flexor, more painful in the front of the hip when injured. Find out tmrw. šŸ˜…

  3. The oblique is a tough one. 90% sure itā€™s something to do in the core. His refusal to shoot is a telling tale.

Who ever says fire ā€œHollandā€ has no clue. Thereā€™s 0% chance he gets fired. Woodcroft would have to be 5-17-3ish through his first 25 for that to be the case.

The ghost of Kostin is haunting this team early. He was a glue guy that was everything the oil needed.

  4. In the last couple seasons the Oilers really havent gotten great starts, Its usually after Christmas that they have gone on a tear Yes I am concerned but I believe in this team, last night was there best effort so far and like you said they beat themselves. If Mcdavid is out they have got to step up, Keep calm fans and its only 5 games, would rather them have a slow start then a horrendous end.

  5. why are all of you talking about woodcroft? the guy is the best coach we have had in a loooooong time. it is five games in, relax. yeah itsucks to trip out of the gate but jeeez

  6. Had Skinner not pulled that stupid move the boys had that game. Bad time to make that mistake but atleast it was a very close game otherwise.

  7. I think the biggest worry isnā€™t so much the panic by the fans, but the lineup moves that indicate the team itself is in panic mode. You create a ā€œtop lineā€ of McDavid, Brown and Kane, and it lasted what? 2 periods?
Maybe McDavidā€™s injury will be a blessing in disguise, because it will force other players to show who they really are.

  8. If its only 2 weeks, sounds like a tweak, probably a labral pinch, hopefully not lower back pains, when I partially subluxed it ripped the heck out of my lower lumbar area to and that took a looong time to return to normal. His Drs need to be aware of what the labral pinch really means and what the lower lumbar pain really means after an overextension like that, things will be stretched @ the dense muscle fiber level and will by proxy be more loose so they must rest him until that stretch can be interpreted by his body as a normal muscle stretch/grow issue. It will tighten back up to normal if you completely rest it for a few days to a week, but if you keep stretching it out it will think you want it to change and stay loose. Ive been through 10x worse than what hes going through without the supports he has, I rejected traditional treatment methods with extremely serious complicated traumatic lower body injuries , just rest it totally for a week minimum with no workouts or stretches its not going to kill anyone to do that. THat week of non-workouts is the only accurate way to diagnose what could really be happeniing now, its tricky sometimes. A full stop is required. We will know about degrees of internal injuries after a week of total rest with no stretching or workouts. Imagery just cant tell you everything you need to know. So IMHO we now wait with fingers crossed, hoping we see no labral issues in a week and even more hoping we see no lower lumbar pains because those are nasty and tend to cause you to fall down a lot.Hip/low back can be extremely complicated to differentiate from. Best to sit it out totally for a week or two and really hope that after that theres just nothing there..if I had to bet on it I would say hes getting lower lumbar pains(from the hip externally rotating to far ) and if he is they only get one chance to get the total diagnosis right so he better listen and rest totally by just being a normal person for 2 week

  9. Looking at the statistics, Leon leads the team in goals (4), points (9), and penalty minutes (8) through 5 games played, McDavid leads in assists (6), Ceci leads in +/- (+1), and Bouchard leads in shots with 19. Yet the team is -7 in goal differential (that first game really stands out). And now it looks like we will be without McD for the next couple weeks. Gives someone else a chance to take the next step up during that time frame.
