This NHL rink literally broke mid-game

We need to talk about what happened last night in the New York Rangers vs the Seattle Kraken as the lights broke. All that and more covered on today’s NHL hockey videoi!

  1. This is what happens in woke liberal jurisdictions the power phases in and out all the time causing glitches in light systems and other electrical systems

  2. We all played on the pond with too little light from the party lights strung along the shore…

  3. Better than that Boston Ottawa game where somebody take a slapper and then the lights just went out. Like full blackout, but just for a sec

  4. The irony here is that Key Arena (before the massive remodel to make it Climate Pledge Arena) had shadows in one offensive zone all the time for hockey. It sucked big time! Lighting was only for basketball court.

  5. This perfectly sums up the "Climate Pledge" Arena. It is built on the delusion that human contributions of CO2 to the atmosphere are driving the climate (off the rails…so scary). It also points toward our future without cheap, reliable, and abundant energy. And hockey will be priced out sadly…I'm sure Russia and China will have the premiere hockey league within 15-20 years… idiots!

  6. This happened at a Isles Devils preseason game 2 years ago. Saw the last 5 minutes of warm ups, got food, then half the lights went out. Sat there for an hour just for them to make an announcement that the game was canceled

  7. “new arena” my ass: it’s nearly 60 years old. this game should have been stopped and postponed, not treated like it’s a peewee hockey game

  8. As Avs fans we played there too before and we were also really concerned about the ice issues as well, nhl gotta get there quality inspections going

  9. The "environmentally-friendly" arena broke. Wow who could of though with how well paper straws were working.

  10. Here’s a weird one for you. I remember being at a Bruins vs Thrashers game in Boston in 2008. Before the start of the 3rd period they announced to us that the teams would switch sides halfway though the 3rd period because of a paint error in the ice. It turns out that in one of the zones they painted both circles too close to the goal line. I’m not sure what regulation is offhand, but one side of the ice had the bottom of the circles around 6 ft from the goal line, and the other side was like 3 ft or so. Way too close. It actually took them a few games into the season to realize they had screwed this up. If you search on youtube for “Thrashers @ Bruins 10/25/08” there is still the NHL highlight of the game where you can see it. They don’t talk about it in the highlight video, but you can see that going into the 3rd period the Bruins are still shooting to the left for the first 10 minutes (like they do in the 2nd period) and then switch to the right.
