  1. Yes!.. excellent signing.. Power here for a long time at a great price ā¤

  2. What a great deal, Adams got it done in a very economical way! When you look at the guys signed long term, it's quite a core. Or should I say corps? The only questions I have is who is next or are there trades coming soon? The gloomy weather suddenly got warmer!

  3. Havenā€™t been this excited for a season for so long I think people around the league see something scary coming for a long time

  4. I have said it before and I'll say it again I think the Sabres need to make a trade. Early in the season maybe, I would love Noah Hanifin. Someone to solidify our d-core and make it dominant. I would trade Olofsson and maybe a 1st rounder. Would you trade a guy like Peyton Krebs?

  5. I literally said, WHAT, out loud when I saw your video, first time seeing the news, this is amazing.

8.35 million is going to look like a friggin bargain in 2 – 3 years for Owen Power, great signing. 8 more years for Power, 9 for Dahlin, happy days, this should be a fun decade of Sabres hockey.

  6. I'm super glad that both of the Dahlin and Power signings happened before the regular season began. Now these two can just go and play hockey without having to worry about the next contract negotiations looming over their heads.

  7. Are we going to run 4 scoring lines???

Iā€™d imagine in 3 years – we are going to have some problemsā€¦ā€¦.between the young guys on the roster and our fantastic prospect pool – how do we sign everyone and find roster spots for them

  8. Adams certainly is proving to be pretty savvy with the finances and drafting and trades. I'm Stoked !!!

  9. What a great day in Sabres history! I will be at the RJ Way sign unveiling tomorrow and then in the 100s for the game! Iā€™m so stoked on what Kevyn Adams is accomplishing. Iā€™m noticing all the haters are saying they are ā€œoverpaidā€ are either jealous or not in touch with how methodical and logical Adams is. They act like these signings are some rash, over the top desperate signings. Nope, this was all completely planned with intense detail and we are damn lucky. Adams just bulletproofed us from what happened to Briere, Drury, Peca, and countless others.

Also, when people debate these contracts I donā€™t think you can look at stats alone. Dahlin has such a great attitude that has helped change the team. He could end up captain soon so I think this alone makes his contract fair and worth it. Not to mention he stayed with us through our darkest time and never complained. Go Sabres!

  10. Leave all cap space for McDavid, Leon to come to the Sabres jk jk . I'm sure they want to be leafs šŸ˜…šŸ˜…šŸ˜…

  11. I understand we have a lot of prospects coming up. But I still think we will need to bring in some vettam leadership next year if we loose Okie and Girgs. It will be interesting to see how thatā€™ shakes out.

  12. What's really crazy is when you look at the Sabres cap hits and see that Olofsson makes as much as Tuch, with both of them sitting at $4.75M/season. What a deal for the Sabres with Tuch (the good) which is just about cancelled out by the Olofsson contract (the bad). Olofsson better be filling up the net and keeping his +/- down before Quinn comes back or he'll be the odd man out, collecting splinters prior to getting dealt out of B-Lo at the trade deadline.

  13. All the major signings are done. Nothing to worry about next off-season. Core is locked up for the better half of the decade. Great job by Adams this week

  14. I was very surprised to see him signed. I thought they were gonna wait. Mind you the Sanderson deal is where I knew Powers was gonna start. I saw Detroit immediately started to worry about how much they will have to pay Moritz Seider when they saw KA paid Powers. Also the RJ patch is exactly that…his initials. And they come in both the home and away jersey colours.

  15. Glad we locked in our young Defensemen, I donā€™t want to worry about next year before this year starts, but Iā€™d like Mittsy walk in sorry! Can I get a go Sabres for tomorrow!?

  16. core locked inā€¦ another really good looking group coming up.. Benson and Savoie still with us and add in Ryan Johnson and forwards Kulich, Rosen and othersā€¦ not to mention the cap is due to increase by an unknown amount next yearā€¦ weā€™re looking good.

  17. I have flashbacks of GMKA's early interviews… Go look at some… The pain, showed plainly on his face… He suffered through horrid questions, with excruciating answers. Look at him now!

  18. I was very mad when the Pegulas hired Kevyn Adams, I prophesized we hired a low budget sycophant, yes-man, but what we have is a wise sage, wise in contracts and talent evaluation.

    Is Kevyn Adams locked up?

  19. Depending on how Zack Benson does this year, that could be another substantial contract being looked at this summer. If he plays all year as an 18 year old, thatā€™s huge. If he somehow manages to be a Top 5 Calder Trophy Finalist, that contract will be huge. I hope this kid has a ā€œBreak the Bankā€ season!!

  20. Top 3 Dmen locked in, but the bottom 3 could use some work. Let us see what Clifton brings. E Johnson is probably a 1 year relation. Joker is on the fence. I think Ryan Johnson joins us full time next year but we may end up with a couple new blueliners again next season through trade or free agency.

  21. I am so sick of seeing Middlestat in this line up. Him and Olufsen need to go by the trade deadline this year. Matt Savoieā€™s going to take metal stats third line center spot. In Benson is already going to take olofssonā€™s second line winger spot.

  22. You look old enough (as am I!!) to remember the Montreal Stanley Cup teams of the 1970's (6 wins), with their 3 cornerstone defensemen: Larry Robinson, Serge Savard, & Guy Lapointe. Buffalo looks like they have their 3 cornerstone defensemen now: Dahlin, Power & Samuelsson. With the goalie of the future, Devon Levi, a roster of forwards to supply the firepower, and the coach who has them playing as a team, and not just a bunch of individuals (hello, Toronto!), we are knocking on the door of greatness.

  23. I suspect the expectations are different for Dahlin and for Power, hence the difference in the annual salary. Dahlin has several years of experience and is a team leader. He's expected to be a stalwart on defense and produce offensively. Power's contract is for his potential. He's a first-line D-man already, and it's his defense that will be most important. Power has the potential to put up the same offensive numbers as Dahlin, in which case, he'll be underpaid in comparison. Long contracts are fine for team stability if a player consistently produces.

  24. Cant stomach having to pay Earhoff through 27, thank you KA for keeping the books more responsibly!

  25. Wow this is a great deal. If anyone complained about Dahlins deal then this should quiet them. AAV for Dahlin and Power combined is $19.35MM, which is $9.675MM each. Not too shabby

  26. Hey Wayne, huge fan of the channel. I can help with whatever you need music/audio-wise if you need audio that you won't get copyrighted for in the future. Love the videos and can't wait to see this team on the ice tonight!

  27. It is amazing, we were so bad at one point we doubted he would even play for us. It seems like all the major NHL media outlets are really excited about playoff being in Buffalo again. Now we can attract some free agents and get a real roster for a Stanley Cup run

  28. Hot take but a team would be willing to give up way more than Power is worth right now. I say trade him before teams realize he is a creampuff with zero tenacity. Soft in the corners, doesnā€™t clear the front of the net, and hasnā€™t thrown one legitimate decent hit. The kid is scared to even rub a guy out hard along the boards. He swings his stick and plays shinny hockey. He makes tyler myers look like Larry Playfair in comparison. Not saying he has to fight or throw rob blake type hits every game, but jesus christ youā€™re huge. Use your body once in a while and stop being a stick swinging pylon in front of the net. Heā€™s such a pillow out there.
