  1. No real point to bring him back this season. It will be interesting to see though if he ends up landing a spot on the roster and keeping it out of camp. I think we all saw some real flashes of brilliance from him in the pre season. I just think he looked a little small physically. We will see.

  2. I agree with Joe Will. Right now the best thing for Eklund’s development is to be away from the team. Young players are struggling in their roles this season. Next year could be a good fresh start with a new coaching staff.

  3. To be honest, sending him back was because of the cap space/not burning the first year of his ELC. If they really wanted Eklund to develop, then the right move would have been sending him to play in the AHL where he'll get used to the ice space difference and the USA. Just my thoughts.
