I love seeing ex-players in the front office.

Is this season the year where the league has had the most former NHL players that are GM’s?

Ron Francis looks like he’d be in an old mobster movie now adays

    Sakic where?

Also, Daniel Briere scored his last goal on a Friday and the following Monday he was GM. Or so it seems. How old is he? 20?

I remember when Chris Drury was just a pudgy little league pitcher who won a Little League World Series….

Seems like coach would be an easier transition but some of these have done real well

  7. Missing…

    Craig Conroy 1009 GP
    Don Waddell 1 GP
    Kevyn Adams 540 GP
    Jarmo Kekalalnien – 55 GP
    Jim Nill – 524 GP
    Ken Holland – 4 GP
    Tom Fitzgerald – 1097 GP
    Brian MacLellan – 606 GP

I’ve seen all of these GMs play hockey.

    Fuck I’m old 😂

  9. If put together during their playing days… these guys would form the Core of a Stanley Cup dynasty.

West Coast gets no love again. Surprise surprise.

Rob Blake looks like he took both photos the same day

  12. I waited patiently for Sakic and he didn’t show… 😞

Grier’s dad was Bobby Grier, who was the GM of the New England Patriots under Bill Parcells and Pete Carroll. Mike Grier played college hockey at BU back then and was an amazing college player. Bobby Grier was immediately fired when Bill Belichick took over, and was immediately replaced by Bill Belichick.

3 guys here who made their name with the same Sabres team. No cup, but fuck those days were fun.

How is it possible you didn’t put Sakic in this? Managed to forget the best GM in the league? Probably a Red Wings fan.
