Since that bubble season, I've watched Hughes do nothing but dominate. He's not even just one of the elite defenders in the league, he dominates every time he's on the ice. He's a human ice tilt machine.

illy mikheyev is much better on the first line then garland since kuz and petty actually have chemestry with him. With galrand on the first line it just felt like they were fumbling around.
PDG is on track to be the team Unsung Hero by season's end. I wish Joshua would do the same.
Sorry to say, Oliver, but it was great seeing you get stripped of the puck twice behind the net, with our team getting the goal not giving it up, this time!
The best part about pdg is he makes league minimum this year and next, the more offense he helps make is drastically more valuable then the rest of the team. He might not bring tons of points, but pushing on dump ins, digging in corners, playing meat and potatoes hockey. All for 775k.

The thing I've been happiest about is how the Canucks ice time and goalie starts have been managed to keep from killing their star players, which was a concern by the way they were played down the stretch last season. It doesn't hurt that they have a backup goalie they can put in net that doesn't need rescuing after a period and a couple more defencemen.
weve only given up 13 goals in 5 games. second in the division to vegas. i think this is why things are feeling like itโs trending in the right direction.
