I got engaged tonight so the boys did good by me, but damn do they need to learn how to cover the front of our net lol. I’m most surprised by their willingness to go to the net today and get dirty goals. The complete opposite of yesterday!
Failure to defend in the third. Failure to challenge puck carriers. Failure to challenge shooters. We play a really passive defense sometimes.

I know he didnt get a star tonight but I thought Greenway was great yet again. Just how physical he is and some of the crucial plays he makes defensively is something I hope more players on the Sabres incorporate into their own game.

Tonight's game looked like last season revisited. Well, I guess I'll take a 6-4 nail-biter win over a 3-1 snooze-fest loss any day.
it felt like Sabres was looking to give Skinner the hattrick instead of just closing the game in the last 10 minutes..
and the implosion, it would not get so close if it wasn't for the refs. why did Ottawa get a power play after every 5050 scrum? and the Girgensons "trip" – was a Stutzle dive, so I wont even blame him on that.
i liked how the kept it simple out there, simple goals, throw the pucks on net. and they responded well after 3-1, which was when the game at a crossroads.
them last 5 minutes boy let me tell you. I was cooking up a whole opinion if they blew that but the rest of the game. they looked great! we needed that. they just need to play 60 minute freaking hockey! glad we got the 2 points though.

I think we got lost in the skirmishes and the fact they got one goal and that's how Ottawa almost came back. Gladly will accept the win though.
Refs went Penalty happy for Ottawa the last 5 mins of the game to get them back into it IDC what anyone says the refs were giving the sabres the Extra 2 pims for everything. For once i Dont blame UPL when your on Back to Back penalties making it go from 5-2 to 5-4 after ottawa gets a goal to even make it 5-2. Sabres owned The Sens all game after that fight with Tuch and Tkachuk the Refs sided with Ottawa with everything there on out.
i had to leave for the 6 on 4 at the end.
I hoped the Sabres would win but at that moment i couldn't watch them that sequence just made me so mad.
A great 40 heck i'd argue 50 minutes of hockey. Our top line finally started scoring UPL looked great and our defense was aggressive.

Only reason this was close was because of the refs they lost control at the end then gave penalties out at the end that hurt the sabres
Greenway looks like he's playing playoff style hockey. The guys should learn something from him.
I hear ya bud, I was at work with the game on the radio, though I was nowhere near it. I took a break and got near the radio only to hear of the Sens making a come back, I bitched and yelled and unplugged the radio. Plugged it back in a minute later and glad we got another goal ! 👍 These Sabre's are officially the new cardiac kids!
This was a back to back game in less than 24 hours with travel and no practice. I think the team was gassed and Ottawa took advantage. But a win is a win. Go Sabre!
The Sabres don’t have the right mind set yet to win playing strategic hockey…..all they have (right now) is the strategy to attack the other team…..if we can put together a way to defend the lead we would be the number one hockey club right now…..Tage Thompson is starting to find his way and others will follow.

UPL did not convince me at all. He loses track of the puck too much. Trade him asap.
I knew the game wasn’t over, UPL always let’s in at least 4 goals. Refs cheated at one point giving ottawa a PP after they started all the fighting.

Cozens has 6 game point streak but fans will never say he was good in any game, Dahlin also extends his 6 game point streak. Skinner was the player of the game he was all over the Senators.
