  1. Whatever the results, I'm really enjoying the habs this season. Just great watching the team grow, there is something in every game to be pleased about

  2. Is acquiring Emil Heineman, Tyler Pitlick, Filip Mesar and Yevgeni Volokhin worth losing a stud like Tyler Toffoli who seems to only improve since his little Vancouver passage in 2019-2020.

  3. Matheson’s goal was as close to a Mcdavid goal that we have ever seen from a mtl player and its from a defencemen 😮 very impressive

  4. That was a shit game, Suzuki and Caulfield don't look good, wonder if Suzuki is playing hurt…Primeau looked decent, left out to dry.

  5. Man that graph with the stats from last season is so fun to dissect, most teams just have one or 2 guys listed in that top 60, maybe 3, some teams have a pretty strong duo and that's it, like the Flames have Hannifin & Andersson super high and… no one else (same with wild's Spurgeon & Brodin so in sync), the AVs have this super strong quatuor and the Canes already had 4 guys listed there and they now have added Orlov to that, Jake Sanderson's contract is actually worth less than a million per miles ahah and Seth Jones seem to have been the only light out of that Chicago tunnel of doom while they were reaching for that Bedard beacon at the end of it.

  6. Primeau is off position vs Tof on first goal should of been more on his left. Why even play him vs top team? Strange move. Mats gosl was nicest goal for a d man since Pks e goal night vs Wild.

  7. That's the problem with Savard. Because he's so slow and rarely controls the puck in his zone, he has to resort to shot blocking as his main strategy on defense. While it shows heart, it skyrockets the odds of getting hurt. An impressive shot blocking shift may get kudos but it hurts the team long term if it takes you out of the lineup for weeks or months.

  8. I thought Primeau played great.
–Two goals against were on the power play (stop taking dumb penalties)
–One goal against was right as the power play expired (stop taking dumb penalties)
–One goal against was poor coverage on Toffoli, but you gotta love Toffoli.

I also didn't realize how smotheringly aggressive New Jersey is. I don't think Montreal did either lol.

All in all, if they cleaned up the penalties (even though most of them were SOFT calls that won't be penalties in a month) and stopped doing the drop pass on the power play, I believe that game was winnable. A great game to learn from.

    Great content as always, fellas!
    Allez Montreal!

  9. I'm really hoping monahan stats healthy! He could fetch them a top pick or a high end forward prospect! They need some more forwards. Can't wait until they can find one more dangerous player for the powerplay and then having hutson on the back end! I think if they play that way on the powerplay drop passing it backwards I think will work better with a player like hutson
