Come on, you were all over di!@ in the playoffs. You were going, "I was wrong." Blah blah. Now it's 6 games in, and he's -8, and you go OH look at the draft video. We don't need to go back 5 years just go back 5 months…………
I am loving it. been on the oils subreddit just drinking it all in. praying they slide the next 5 then management over-react and make some bone head decisions to hurt the team further
Bouchard has played his entire career for Edmonton and this year goal differential stats mean nothing at this point, he had a +16 goal differential the last 2 seasons and Bouchard is a top producer in crucial situations. Truth is majority of people don’t even know what the oilers need and that’s why they’re in this current situation. They have always been making the wrong cuts and trades
Honestly, me and my buds clocked Bouchard as a problem during the Vancouver games, and we're Vancouver Fans! We saw several goals and chances which we thanked Bouchard for during those games. I'm not going to say that I follow the Oilers closely enough to know what's good for them, but I will say that my friends and I, all Canuck fans, noticed that Bouchard was directly responsible for more than one dangerous defensive breakdown during the pair of games against Vancouver.
Steve-Y should call his good buddy Kenny Holland and pick him up for a 3 rounder and then put him in the AHL letting him play for the Griffins.. I think he's been rushed for Edmonton due to circumstances for the Oilers and probably tried to go the cheap route due to cap issues..
If he spends time in GR he'll learn how to play the RIGHT way and play a 200-foot game!.. when/if he's ready sign him to another 1year 2way prove-it deal .. if his defense improves while keeping or even bettering his offensive game then THAT'S when ya know he's READY FOR THE SHOW!.. I think at very less he'll constantly getting to work on his 2way game in GR while improving the Griffins as well..
Idk.. low-risk, high-reward of a situation it would seem for Stevie-Y and Kenny boi get a draft pick and contract off his hands..🤷
I’m happy Edmonton got Bouchard he just needs to calm down on defence. But I think this is mostly Edmontons defence coaching.
Bold move to tank the year after bedard 🤔
They shall move Bouchard to forward instead of defense.
Wow, i actually didnt think he was that bad to be honest, edm issue i think is a team issue, but if they really dont like him we would take him for van if they feel that way, well trade em straight up for meyers
So basically Evan Bouchard is our Tyler Myers, just a decade younger.
So…. why hasn't Guenther been traded to Edmonton instead of sitting in Phoenix or Tucson or Timbuktu?
Olli Juolevi was drafted from London, a few years earlier, and where's the 5th overall draft pick? and traded for Noah Juulsen and Juho Lammikko.
Noah Juulsen, having scored 1 point in 3 games with Canuckleheads, but a -1;
Now, Juho had a bit more luck then Juulsen, he's scored 15 points in 75 games in the 21 -22 season and a -6 but was effortlessly told to not come back?
I'm wondering why Guenther's not on the bus to Edmonton? I mean, Vancouver got Garland!!!
