The odds for who will win the Stanley Cup are out and lets just say there’s a lot of talent at the top of this list. The one team that surprises me most on here is the Dallas Stars. The Stars have one of the best forward groups in the NHL, a top 5 defenseman and a top 10 goalie. This team is deep and after making the conference finals, expect them to be back next season. Stars roster > Oilers roster
I’m with you jimmy. Stars top 9 is disgusting. Plus NHL ready prospects in Logan Stankhoven and Maverik Bourque.
Some decent coverage of the Stars strong aspects. I think a couple missed points should be mentioned though.
Wyatt Johnston was one of the best rookies of the year last year, and he was only 19 (turned 20 during playoffs). He also went straight from juniors to NHL and put up 41 points with 24 goals and 17assists, and a +6. And he already has a 43% faceoff percentage. Kid is only going to go up, this is another superstar in the making.
The Stars have a bunch of skilled rookies all champing at the bit to play as well. Blumel, Bourque, and especially, Stankoven. Some scary talent in their prospect pool could see a really deep scoring offense.
Also honorable mention to Thomas Harley who had a mild regular season but a breakout playoff performance. Some big potential there for another rookie.
The fact that dallas's AHL team is also pretty good is just insane..
