  1. If someone is seriously injured and not moving (Ex: Rome-Horton), that's when the refs blow the whistle. When he's getting up like that, although not fully, the refs won't blow the whistle until the other team gets advantage. But even then, they blow the whistle the majority of the time because they actually care about the guy's health

  2. the outstretched arms following head trauma is known as the "fencing response". it indicates that brain injury has occurred

  3. Typical kronwall. Only checks guys with their heads down, targets the head, refuses to fight and own up to his pussy play. I'm surprised he didn't jump this time before he hit Voracek…

  4. The hit was clean. No doubt. But still, I didn't like it. On the other hand, that's the kind of play most of the NHL viewers want to see. Only defense is not to have your head down and possibly have somebody kick Kronwall's you know what.

  5. Well Kronwall tanked him with his back, he wasn't facing Jakub so Niklas wouldn't be able to tell if he's going for his head.
It's up to Voracek to make sure he doesn't get fucked up, but he did, thus, footage.

  6. I'm a wings fan and agreeing with the announcers on this one. Too many times have the refs not blown the whistle after a hit and a player down and hurt and let the play go on.
