I hate losing games we should have won. Lost 2 points the last 2 games 🙁

  2. mammiemilker

Fun and entertaining game but should’ve been won for Elvis, smh

edit: would like to add a quick thought – everything is there but the penalties absolutely killed us (similar to last game). Get a few more games in for the young guys and I think we will be golden.

Additionally, 7 games in and while it has been frustrating at times, it is a million times better and more fun than last year

  3. Realjoocebox

We’re gonna be that team with like 16 OTLs aren’t we

  4. Gotta learn to hold leads. And get some goals from the people who are supposed to be scoring them.

Also Voronkov is not ready, he has a long way to go in the speed/processing realm before he’s an everyday NHLer

  5. Turnolearno

Good news: the team is getting leads

Bad news: they can’t protect a lead to save their lives

  6. thecbjfan

We need consistency. 2 winnable games due to dominance FUCK

  7. sergei-boobtitsky

I mean who didn’t see that coming? Loved the effort tonight but this team can’t hold leads or close out tight games

It’ll come but man.. we’re so close

  8. Aperture-Employee

really not a fan of Vronk’s debut. Lots of dipshit play and we’re lucky we didn’t give it away in regulation the way we played for 70% of the game

  9. radios_appear

Dropping a point blows but we’re competitive and there are clear things we do well as well as clear things to improve on.

We’re so much more watchable than last year, but that doesn’t make us automatically good or that the job is done and the team is complete. I’ll take that we’re better than last year, but there’s a long way to go.

But it beats being tragically, miserably dogshit like last year.

  10. 1. That’s another frustrating loss. Should have won, but we could not stop taking dumb penalties.

    2. Elvis has been really good at least, that’s a positive sign.

    3. I understand we’re trying to kick KJ into another gear but that was the type of game we really could have used him in. 3 on 3 OT is something he should excel at, not to mention his replacement Voronkov I thought really struggled and took several silly penalties.

  11. redditistreason

Good signs, but two very similar Ls snatched from the jaws of victory.

Missed OT because of cat sleep moding PC, but it sounds like a familiar story.

  12. KyloSolo723

Get your heads out of your asses and stay out of the box

  13. HermanBonJovi

Not a great way to finish. Had every opportunity to win and we just….. Didn’t seem to want to.

  14. razorspoiler

There’s nothing that is more frustrating that losing games like that. And we have done it for waayyyyy too long in the past couple years.

  15. StoicBogle123

This will be spun as “point streak continues”.

  16. Seattlekrakenlegend

So is our entire strategy this season just “pass to Boone”

Even Jody Shelley was like “I’m not sure why Johnny didn’t just shoot the puck there”

  17. Frustrating game to lose. Can’t blow multi-goal leads like that. Roslovic and Bemstrom both looked really good tonight, though.

  18. JunesDepartmentStore

Probably should’ve won the last two games, but for a 3-2-2 start I feel like we’ve done pretty good job so far. This is a way better team than last year without a doubt

After last season if you told me that we’d have 8 points in our first 7 games this year, along with having majority of the games where we’re leading in shots and chances, I’m not sure I’d believe you

  19. ASillyGoos3

im HAUNTED by johnny refusing to drive that puck to the net in a wide open 2 on 2 with like 2ish minutes left. he’s fucking good but he refuses to be a scorer even a little at this point.

ETA: marchy too. idk what everyone worked on this off-season but I think we’d have a win or two more already if they would just be a little more selfish at the right times.

  20. MysticEnvoy

Despite the disappointment of the last 2 games, this team still feels much, much more competent than last season. Elvis seems to have a lot of his confidence back, and the young guys are playing with a lot of urgency. Just need some polish and some gas in the tank. On to the next one.

  21. DasCapitalist

Columbus teams and blowing late leads. Name a more iconic duo.

I don’t know how he managed it, but I’m certain this is Kevin Molino’s fault.

  22. RonTugMyNuts

Well Elvis continues to prove its not goaltending but the lack of finish, especially from our top end guys, losing us these games.

  23. tailford07

Two games in a row Elvis made key saves in OT just for the team to not give him support on the other end.

  24. Fabresque_

    1. First 20 was great. Last 40 was not. The third period in general was absolutely repulsive.

    2. Johnny… if you want me to defend you, you’ve gotta shoot the puck bruh.

    3. Defense non-existent. Provorov dropped a stinker.

    4. Elvis saved us big time, wouldn’t have even gotten a point without him.

    5. This team is LAZY. Sacks of shit gave up skating and just said “Elvis and inshallah” at the end of the game.

    6. Bemmer has to be on PP1 now.

    7. Sorry, gotta mention it. Voronkov had a terrible debut. Stupid penalties and completely anonymous otherwise. Not good enough for the call-up right now.

  25. the_shiney

Refs were not good. If they caught the slash on Fantilli, the second goal never happens. I liked the overall effort, but in this game, I saw more lulls than in the past two. We need to keep the pressure consistent. Elvis needs to elevate in crunch time. I know he’s looked a heck of a lot better this year, but I’d like him to really start to lock it down. He does give it up under pressure. I love to see Bemmers get rewarded. I still see a lot of people crap on him, and I wonder if they’ve actually been watching the games because Emil is working his butt off. Lastly, I can’t wait for Patty to return and Johnny to get going. That may finally get this team over the top.

  26. AeroBlack33

Disappointing but we are still over 500 and have been competitive in 6 of 7 games. So far meeting what I wanted out of this season.

  27. I’m just here to celebrate how good the two most shit on players (Bemmer and Rosie) have played so far.
